Review, Swatches, Price, Buy Online Za True White Liquid Foundation in shade OC30
I know I announced on my Instagram that I’m on a break for 2 weeks but count on the unexpected rains to spoil the plans! So I was stuck at home and the countless 2 and a Half men episodes made me dizzy and hence I decided to blog. So basically I took a break from my break to break free. Sailor is here and I’m experimenting with my looks a lot to look Kylie Jenner one day and Chitranganda Singh the another (talk of high hopes) And putting my current obsession i.e Za True White liquid foundation to good use. Sailor said I looked flawless when I first wore it (kihikhi I did reveal it was makeup..but only at the end of the day!) I have the shade OC30 which I will review and swatch.

My Review:
Shade: I have the shade OC30 in it which is meant meant for medium Indian skin but its a little light for my NC40 skin tone. I don’t have the summer tan yet so its working for me but in the summers I might need a darker powder on top of it. But the undertone is yellow so that is why it doesn’t look ashy. All the shades in this foundation range have yellow tones except for one which has pink tones. I like that the shades have strong yellow tones in them which make them quite suitable for Indian skin. Since mine is a little light, it looks cakey if I start building it up so I just stick to one coat of it.
Coverage: The coverage is medium. I have truckloads of sheer coverage foundations and BB creams and this is a welcome change! I generally prefer sheer base makeup for daily wear but I have recently started experimenting with higher coverage because I just hauled some good quality makeup brushes which make the application easy and flawless. It has SPF 25 which makes it ideal for day time but I won’t recommend it for evenings or flash photography. It covers my spots, marks, redness and uneven skin quite decently.
Texture: The consistency is thick and creamy which makes it an ideal foundation for winters. The weather is still pleasent in Delhi due to the sudden rains and I’m loving the texture. I won’t say its light because it does take sometime to completely set but the blending is easy. I won’t recommend putting on another layer of it as it might highlight dry patches. So I mainly stick with one coat of this and since the coverage is medium you won’t need another layer anyway. The finish is satin, not dewy nor matte. I definitely recommend using a moisturizer underneath since heavy foundations need proper moisturisation always. I recommend it to dry skin, combination dry skin girls. My skin is combination dry these days and its working fairy nice. But on oily skin you would need to touch up the T-zone a couple of times. It also has minute shimmer particles in it which you only catch if you zoom in the camera but they are undetectable on face but give a healthy glow.
Wear time: Its impressive. I wear it around 9am and it stays put till 6pm. But it would definitely be lesser in summers. It makes my tzone oily after 4-5 hours after which I blot the oil. In summers that could be a problem.
I’m wearing 2 coats of the foundation here. The shade is a little light for me as you can see the difference between my face and neck but it still doesn’t look ashy which I like. The coverage is pretty good!
Pros of Za True White Liquid Foundation OC30:
- Medium coverage which makes it a must have for meetings and day events.
- Thick consistency but easy to blend
- Long wear time. Lasts all day. But I expect it to last for 6-8hrs in summers.
- Minute shimmer which translates to a healthy glow on face
- SPF 25 which is an added bonus
- All the shades have yellow undertones except one
- Love the packaging. Also comes with a pump.
- Satin finish which doesn’t look flat
Cons of Za True White Liquid Foundation:
- Shade range is limited. I don’t see a lot of options for dark Indian skin tones.
- Not suitable for parties and photography because of the SPF. Strictly day wear.
- Not suitable for oily skin due to the thick texture.
- Might emphasize dry patches if you build it up.
