Truth or Dare By Madonna Perfume Review and Photos

Have you been a Madonna fan? I totally have been, all because of the song which I heard when I had my first crush (scroll down for it) Ha-ha!! But that really isn’t the reason that made me buy her TRUTH OR DARE Eau de Parfum, her debut fragrance which I will review today. Generally celebrity perfumes are all not up to the mark and are just overpriced, I won’t say the same for this one. Though expensive, it is decently priced in comparison to other perfumes. Madonna earned $60 million from sales of this perfume

, exclusive to Macy’s, (a store that an average Madonna fan can afford to shop at) when it was launched in 2012. Madonna herself has a vast collection of perfumes, so you can trust her in her choice.

 

This is one of those kinds which can be 1. Immensely loved, or 2. Truly hated. It is for floral fragrance lovers. Creamy, feminine & tempting with top notes of gardenia tuberose & neroli . Heart notes of jasmine & white lily. The first time I sniffed it , the imagery that came to my mind was that of a large span of white flowers – fresh , light , happy and intoxicating.

And the name – loveable! Suits it really well because Madonna has been daring enough to try to making something very similar to the very famous and old fragrance Fracas and yet has stood true to her mature and sophisticated identity which is associated with her mother. In an interview with WWD, she said, “My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume; I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to re-create this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well .”

For the floral lovers, this fragrance is pure gardenia but yes, mysteriously dramatic. I mean the kinds which is naughty yet so royal, elegant and mannered as if it knows how to behave around whom. Like in a social gathering this fragrance gives you a class. While out in a club this is just the type you would want be wear with a bold black eyeliner and blood red lipstick *wink*  (not that I am the flirt types..But let’s face it which girl doesn’t like it when she makes this super hot boy turn around *grin* ) Yeah you got my point!

Plus the fragrance is very long lasting. It lasts for minimum 12 hours to the whole day also. I can sense the fragrance on my skin the next day also. The minus point here is that I feel this diffusive fragrance is a winter fragrance as it has a warm creamy feel to it than a fresh feel that you need in summers.

But the royalty is just not in the fragrance, the manufacturers made sure that everything about it is catchy whether it be to the eye or to the nose. The white bottle it comes in is extremely beautiful – sleek milk white with a golden nozzle and a golden lid, packed in an equally beautiful golden thin cardboard box. *love struck*

• Wintery
• Opaque bottle

Do I give it green or red? Truth or Dare By Madonna is a nice perfume. I definitely give it green but only to floral lovers and floral haters should totally stay away from this. I wouldn’t even recommend it to the bubbly prankster type of girls because it definitely has a maturish feel to it. But I tell you what..even Madonna won’t shy away from wearing her own signature fragrance because it is that recommendable.
