Filmfare Awards 2015: Who Wore What
By Contributor: Uzma
This year’s 60th Filmfare Award night was total fun. Combination of Karan and Kapil as hosts was eclectic and their antiques were great amusement. Even though I missed many faces: Priyanka, Kangana, Kareena, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik and many others but those who appeared made sure to bring out their best. While most of the gentlemen chose Black as the colour of the evening many women also embraced it. Let’s have a look who was Fab and who was drab. A lot of bollywood celebrities this time were best dressed and only a few hit the worst dressed radar. Let’s look at these 16 ladies of B-town and see the dresses and makeup they wore to Filmfare Awards 2015.
Deepika Padukone:
I started this list with Deepika which was very spontaneous but I was disappointed by her appearance. Gothic lips are her staple and she pulls off gown extremenly well but don’t you think she looks all the same. Gowns, Dark lips, pouf updo. Repetitive look, so it’s boring. Well put look, nevertheless.
Sonam Kapoor:
She definitely wins the best dressed title for her flawless appearance (no wonder Deepika copies her looks!). She wore an Anamika Khanna lace and silk couture. Her dress had a lace ‘cape’, she knows how to set trends. She accessorized with neckpieces, earrings and kada, something which she could have given a miss. Her cross-braided updo and nude makeup was perfect for this glittering look.
Amrita Rao:
Poor girl, she didn’t realize she was attending a red carpet not a wedding. Blingy crimson gown was tacky and added to the misery of blue eye makeup.
Dia Mirza:
she is a sweatheart. Just look at her smile. Adorable! She wore a Royal blue and mustard saree and paired it with beaded necklace and jhumki. Nothing phenomenal but colour choice won it.
Alia Bhatt:
I’m biased towards Alia, I must confess. First of all she’s got my Mom’s name, secondly she’s a cutie pie. But this time she sizzled on red carpet not with her sweet, cute image but as a sultry diva. She wore a black gown with thigh high slit. Her soft smoky eyes and nude lips brought just right amout of sensuality. Loved her look.
Shraddha Kapoor:
Both of her movies were highlights of filmfare as nomination and winner. But I was mesmerized by her appearance. She wore a princess like gown by Shehla Kh an. Her makeup was subtle which impressed me. Liked it!
Tabu:
her role in Haider may be a hit and even have got her a ‘Black Lady’ but her red carpet appearance was dud. I am sick of her poker straight hair but this hairstyle did not impress me at all. I don’t want to talk about her sequenced dress at all. Period.
Kajol:
she wore a doll kind of gown by Shantanu and Nikhil. Peach coloured dress gave my eyes a break from regular blacks and golds. Her makeup was remarkable because she had colour of the year ‘Marsala’ on her lips. She looked pretty.
Madhuri Dixit:
just when I thought she has sweared to only wear blingy stuff she surprised me in her chic and classy appearance. Navy blue stripped gown looked elegant and off shoulder gave it right kind of allure.
Sonali Bendre:
I’m a sucker for colours on Red Carpet. This gorgeous lady sizzled in an orange dress. Even at this age she can give all the ‘Sonams’ and ‘Deepikas’ a run for their style. Sonali captivated me for sure.
Vidya Balan:
I guess she’s the only woman on earth who hasn’t got her style right even after getting dressed by Sabyasachi. The blouse doesn’t fit her, and the way her hair and saree are done only makes her look like a badly dressed air hostess. “Air India me aapka swagat hai”
Kalki Koelchin:
She wore a black dress by Nikhil Thampi and with all her accessories and black and gold attire she looked resembled a Greek Godess. I adore the edginess in her appearance.
Ileana D’cruz:
Another diva who went head to toe noire and arrived as a trend setter. Ileana also opted for a Nikhil Thampi outfit which had the hottest trend ‘a Cape’ attached to it. Her hair was done in a side swept pony and the plunging neckline was just perfect.
Gauhar Khan:
One the best appearance on this year’s filmfare red carpet. She chose an ebony gown and her red lips and messy hair braid added perfection to it. She looked like a diva. Without any glitter or antique she managed to look Red carpet perfect. This is what we call classy!
Neha Dhupia:
she wore an electric blue and black gown. She turned out to be gorgeous as usual. Her makeup, hair style everything was perfect but I find her oversized bow a little out of place. What do you say?
Nargis Fakhri:
her dress was indeed very beautiful. As I have earlier said, I love to see colours on red carpet. But her makeup was a big turn off. Nude lips were washing her out. As far as her hair style is concerned, bangs do not suit her. Maybe she could have styled it another way.

Thanks Sukriti
“badly dressed air hostess” ahha ha ha hahaha…. Vidya Balan is worst of all. I really liked Ileana’ outfit. It was simple yet classy, something other than gowns, saris. I agree Neha Dupia’s oversized bow was like stuck at last minute.
totally agree. I found her oversized BOW distracting!
Dia Mirza best

u need to learn a thing or two about fashion and a couple of things about grammar as well. What Madhuri is wearing is not off-shoulder, its strapless. Also a proofreading would help.

Pendrives are cheaper than ever. You can get flash drives for a couple of dollars and move files between your main computer and the netbook as much as you like. Use 8GB unit, though, because anything smaller than that will be unable to hold a DVD at once.
