The Body Shop Lily Cole LE High Shine Lip Treatment Review, Swatches
The other day a few guys from my college read my blog and came to me and asked what’s up with the makeup you review on VNA. They were pointing to the Orgasm blush, Sex eyeshadow, Naked palette…..you got the drift? It has now become a joke that I blog on makeup porn! Well guys I didn’t want to give you one more thing to talk about but really can’t help it this time…..this one deserves to be talked about here.
Its the new The Body Shop Hi Shine Lip Treatment I’m talking about. This was launched in 4 shades with the Lily Cole cruelty free collection. The shade I’m reviewing is 01 Go Naked.
What’s good about the tiny plastic tube with no colour at all you ask? Well then I will start with the USP. Its one of the longest ever lip glosses I’ve ever tried. Lip glosses are not exactly known for their lasting power no? Well this one is sticky enough to last a long time but not the ‘ewwww something’s sitting on my lips‘ kind of stickiness. Instead the ‘hey-your-lips-look-almost-watery‘ kind of stickiness. So I go for it whenever I’m going to a place/event where I’ll have absolutely no time to touch up. Infact I hate touch ups, I always wonder why but I would rather walk around with a bare face then do touch ups in the washroom. Its almost sheer with tiny gold speckles which are almost invisible on lips. It moisturizes and works great over my matte lipsticks.
I don’t like the slanted tip, too used to the doe foot applicator I guess. So I just spread it evenly with fingers or a lip brush after applying directly from the tube.

So is it for you? Yes if you are looking for a sheer lipgloss that you can wear over any of your lipsticks or just alone. It has got a very good lasting power and survives a full meal on me.
