With the sun out in full swing, there is absolutely no escape from getting horribly tanned the minute you step out. Some of us have a habit of skipping on the sunscreen. My skin is very sensitive and every time I find a “revolutionary” product that seems great for my skin, it usually reacts after using it for 3 to 4 weeks and I have to discontinue using it. So when I came across Spinz Sun Tan Remover Instant De tan cream which I will review today, I was thrilled at the prospect. It does cut a great way through as an easy to use, effective, safe and convenient de-tanning product. It is a simple cream that gets rid of tanning in just 5 minutes and leaves the skin radiant and soft.

Spinz claims:

• Salon like fairness in just 5 minutes

• Fairer in just 5 minutes

• Does not contain bleach or any harmful chemicals

• Key ingredients are milk, lemon and honey

How to use the Spinz Cream: All you have to do is to apply the cream generously on your face avoiding the sensitive areas like the eyes. Massage the cream for a while and leave it on for 5 minutes like a face mask and then wash it off.

My Review of Spinz Sun Tan Remover:

The recommended usage amount of the de-tanning cream is 8-9 gm. That is about the quantity of the sachet  (10 gm). I used the sachet at first to optimally use the recommended amount rather than guessing it while using the tube version. The available tubes contain 25 gm and 50 gm. So, the tube versions can be used 2-3 times for the 25 gm and 5-6 times for the 50 gm tube if you stick to the recommended amounts.

The fact I liked best about the Spinz Sun Tan Remover was the ease of usage, the safe ingredients (no bleach) and the portability factors. It’s easy and c onvenient to carry in your handbag and use it any time during the day. It is a simple one step process that does not require the hassle of using multiple products in a sequence to get the similar result.

The 5 minute de-tanning regime is convenient and can be used on all the tanned areas. It is recommended to not use soap for up to 6 hours after using the product

The key ingredients are honey , milk and lemon. Apart from lemon, I don’t use honey and milk on my skin as my skin gets highly sensitised and erupts in rashes. So I skip these in my skin care and use alternatives like curd and olive oil.

So when I used the spinz tan removal cream and at first and experienced the slight tingling sensation, I panicked that I might erupt in to breakouts. As it turns out, the tingling is normal and it subsides within a minute or two. After 5 minutes, I simply washed it off with water and it came off very easily without leaving behind any residues. My skin looked visibly de-tanned, radiant and supple.

Though I haven’t used it on extremely tanned skin, I felt like the recommended amount was way too much. Next time I am going to experiment with different amounts of the product to find out the ideal amount for my skin for varying levels of tanning.

Conclusion: Worth giving a try. It’s effective, easy to use, safe (does not contain any bleach) and highly economical. You can give it a lot of precedence if you are a student or a busy professional with little time on your hands for elaborate skin care routines. 5 minutes at the end of the day is all it takes to remove the tan on the upper cell layers of the skin called the epidermis.
