Who doesn’t love a good eye makeup day? There are good hair days and good skin days then there should always be a good eye makeup day! Especially if you are a person who is in a mad hurry to get out of the door in time, a good eye makeup day can be hard to come by. Being that kind of person myself, I absolutely love eye pencils

that look great even if they slapped on in the most unceremonious of ways. So, on my trip to Delhi recently, I stopped by Sephora to take a look at their in house stuff which is often raved about. I got the Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof in shade no.15 Purple from the Sephora Collection.

Now, we all know that the whole trend of jumbo pencils had taken the market by storm recently. I never owned a product of that kind, so I promptly jumped onto the wagon. Honestly though, Sephora for me is even more confusing than MAC! Their range of in house product is so huge that you will be boggled and wish that your budget was a little bit more generous.

 

Sephora Claims: A collection of jumbo eye pencils that can be used as eyeliners or blended out as eye shadows. These jumbo pencils create a range of effects, from bold lines and blended effects to thin, defined lines. Resistant to water, heat, and humidity, their creamy, high-pigment formulas apply smoothly. Featuring deep blacks and rich, shimmery shades, each is formulated with exclusive waxes and pigments to assure maximum color intensity that stays put for 12 hours.

My Review of Sephora Jumbo Liner Purple:

The first thing that impresses me about this sephora eye crayon is its texture. The jumbo eye liner is soft enough that it is smudge able when you initially put it on but after a minute it sets like glue. It is this smudge able quality of this product that makes it a ‘slap on, smudge and walk out’ kind of a product. However, once it is set, it will not budge or transfer.

The pigmentation on this is bomb dot com. No sheer play over here. If you put on even the slightest pressure on the crayon you will get good amount of pigmentation. If you want to talk about the colour then can we just marvel at the beautiful plum and purple gorgeousness of it? If you have brown, hazel or even green eyes, then you need this little wonder in your life! The plummy undertones in shade no.15 Purple make my plain coffee brown eyes stand out without any extra effort.

The product comes packaged in a crayon form. However, it is not a twist up sort of pencil. This is where my grudge with this product comes in. Sharpening leads to product wastage and is an inconvenience for me since I do not have a sharpener big enough for it. However, apart from the sharpening woes, the packaging is small enough to nimbly fit and sturdy enough to take a good jostle. The lid fits on perfectly and does not come off which is a bonus.

Staying power wise, this sephore 12hr wear liner hits all the right marks. Sephora claims its waterproof and that claim is absolutely true! In fact, I couldn’t wash the swatches on my arm completely with just soap and water. I had to dab some coconut oil to wash off the last remains of it. The jumbo crayon easily stays up to 8 hours without budging. It works beautifully as an eyeshadow base too, if you wish to use it that way. The best part is that all the time that I wore this (a total of 8 or 9 hours) the pigmentation did not, even once, falter nor did it flake!  A good eye makeup remover or oil is a must if you want to get this out completely.

Conclusion: If you live near Sephora or if you are passing by it then I would suggest that you do take a look at this product. It is one of those products that need absolutely no effort to look good. There is also a good range of shades available for everyone’s tastes. This one is a complete winner!
