What’s in a name? That came to my mind when I first saw the Rimmel lipsticks online. I was forced to buy “heartbreaker” just to see “what lies beneath”. Recently Rimmel launched their products in India and became one of my favourite and affordable foreign brand in a short span of time.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick delivers up to 8 hours staying power by incorporating Color Protect technology that gives your lips up to 25% more color impact. Intensity, smoothness, shines and up to 8 hours wear. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick truly has it all.

The first time I opened the lipstick I fell in love! It is a deep rose pink shade with red undertones. The shade is so gorgeous that when you go out wearing it you break the hearts of many. The pigmentation is no doubt very good. One swipe of the lipstick and you are done but still I love to swipe 2-3 times for my own satisfaction to get the color.

The lipstick comes in a black case with a crown embossed on the top of the case which is pretty elegant and helps you in finding the   lipstick in your stash. The staying power is 2-3 hours which I think is good compared to the price. And it leaves behind a nice pink tint on lips. The smell of the lipstick is like bubblegum which always tempts me to lick my lips…but ewwww it tastes bad! The lipstick is creamy in texture so glides on lips smoothly and doesn’t dry up my lips and gives satin finish.

Now the most annoying part is that the lipstick transfers to cups and glasses and tends to bleed which can be avoided to some extent if you apply a lip liner beneath the lipstick.

Okay now summarizing up:-

The heroine part:

• Lovely packaging with crown on the top of the case.
• The color is a bright rose pink with red undertones that will suit most Indian skin tones.
• Comes with wide variety of shades.
• Pigmentation is very good.
• Creamy in texture thus lips won’t get dry.
• Leaves a nice pink tint.

The villain part:

• Availability might be an issue.
• Easily transfers to cups which is embarrassing.
• Tends to bleed.

So is it for you? Rimmel Heartbreaker is a lovely shade at an affordable price that will suit Indian skin tones. The texture is super rich and creamy and never dries up your lips. The lasting power is the only issue but that can be overlooked given the price!
