“A Lipstick is really magical. It holds more than a waxy bit of colour – it holds the promise of a brilliant smile, a brilliant day, both literally and figuratively.” Don’t you agree with this? Sometime back Revlon launched the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in India which are available in 10 yummy colours across counters and all leading websites. I’m going to review shade 030 Smitten Eprise. It’s a nice purply pink colour. (Psst… I have a special corner in my heart for purple/pink shades)
Revlon says: It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lip stain in an adorable chubby crayon. It gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour.
I simply love the packaging. The product comes in a cute crayon packaging which is retractable and hence no sharpening required. The packaging is entirely coloured, in case you have a couple of the same products it’ll be very easy to locate the shades. One negative point in the packaging is that the silver writing rubs off (mine has vanished almost 50 % and I’ve been using it only since a month).
Honestly I’m not much of a makeup person. But this product is definitely for me. It’s sheer and glossy but still is highly pigmented. Depending on the occasion you can build up the colour accordingly. I’m still studying in college so can’t really wear bright lipsticks. With one stroke this product gives a sheer look with a slight tint. It’s perfect for day time. When layered it gives a nice bright purple pink shade. Great for night outs when you want your lip colour to take all the limelight.
If you have layered the lip stain then it is very long lasting. I have managed to go an entire day with it on. It doesn’t really come off when you eat or drink. Once the gloss comes off you can just apply a clear lip balm to maintain a neat look. They are very moisturizing. My lips never feel dry after using them. Plus it’s not at all sticky.
As the name suggests it’s a lip stain. At the end of the day you a makeup remover to remove the stain completely from my lips.
Brownie Points:
Available in a wide range of colours to suit different skin tones.
Attractive packaging
Keeps lips moisturized for up to 5 hours
The colour stays for almost the entire day
Pigmentation is good
Slightly glossy
Easy to find
Reasonable Price
Easy to carry in your handbag
Negative Points:
You need to layer up to build the colour
Price: Rs.600
Rating: 4.5/5
Final Verdict: A definite thumbs up from my side for these cute lip balm stains. It’s a versatile product since it can be worn sheer or layered for a pigmented colour. If you are looking for a slightly glossy lipstick that lasts long then Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain is your answer.
