Nyx Rouge Cream Blush ORANGE Review, Swatches, FOTD

Orange lips: check
Orange nails: check
Orange T-shirts: check
Orange dress: check
Orange cheeks: che….WHAT?! Noooooooooooo. And there I was googling researching “orange blush best”. Mac Optimistic Orange was the first to show up but I was not yet ready to cough up 1350 bucks on a blush I wasn’t even sure would suit me. And then I cleverly added “inexpensive” to my search and there it was Nyx Orange Cream Blush staring right at me through the screen.

Nyx Claims: Become the starlette Hollywood you were born to be! NYX Rouge Cream Blush provides natural, radiant, long lasting color to the cheeks due to a specially formulated, creamy formulation. Simply dab NYX Rouge Cream Blush onto skin with fingertips to emulate the look of natural, youthful skin.

The colour Orange is a happy peachy orange. When you look at the pan, it looks like a bright tangerine orange but the actual colour is closer to peachy orange. It instantly adds warmth to your face and would look a natural flush of brightness on women of colour. It may look scary in the pan but trust me its one of the easiest colours you can carry. It blends out sheerly and there are less chances of going wrong.

Texture, Finish, Lasting power and overall thoughts:
The texture is super easy to work with. It blends easily without the stickiness. But you have to blend it out completely or it will keep sitting on top of your cheeks. You can use a stippling brush but fingers do just fine. Being a cream blush, the dewiness comes along. Although I love dewy cheeks but being oily skinned I anyway get dewy cheeks within 3-4 hours without the blush! So make sure you dust off some loose powder in summers to keep of the extra dewiness in check. But in winters it would be a dream to have on the cheeks! It lasts on me for about 4-5hrs but gets sheer after crossing the 3hr mark. Lasting power is low but I guess on dry skin it would stay on for a bit long.

And this how it looks on me. I wear it sheerly.

I’ve posted one more photo on my facebook where I’m wearing it with medium intensity.

Price: Rs.650 ($6.50 internationally) But I still have not found an Indian site stocking up on this particular shade from the 12 colour range. Y U NO ADD Orange?

So is it for you? Nyx Orange cream blush looks super pretty and adds a warmth to your face. It looks extremely natural on medium to deeper skin tones. The blush is super easy to blend, looks dewy and lasts for some 4-5hrs. Girls with oily skin would need to powder the cheeks in summers to keep the extra shine at bay and dry skin girls meet your new best friend. Come winters and you would want to wear it every single day!

PS- Orange cheeks: CHECK!
