Am back girls with my current favourite lipstick review. I am sucker of lipsticks you all know already. But do you know this is my first NYX Lipstick and I am now a fan of this shade. I got the lipstick from Sammanita’s  Blog Sale. After getting this shade I discovered that I already have a dupe of this color in my vanity case! Now now I will tell you about the dupe of Nyx Matte Sweet Pink but first let’s check the review and swatches.

Nyx Claims: NYX Matte Lipsticks are highly pigmented, richly formulated and long-wearing. The formula glides on smoothly and stays put in a matte finish. From Pure Red to Nude, Matte Lipsticks are available in a variety of rich shades. You can check all the 14 shades here

NYX Matte Lipstick Sweet Pink Review

Nyx Sweet Pink is a cool toned purple pink shade with a matte finish. It’s a blue based pink shade which has strong pink undertones. Blue based pinks tend to make your teeth appear whiter and your face brighter. Pigmentation is amazing. One swipe gives opaque coverage and multiple coats will intensify the color.

The texture of this lipstick is amazing. Its not at all drying on lips. No tugging or pulling. But I still would suggest you to moisturize your lips well before putting it on as it looks odd on dry chapped lips. It does settle into lip lines slightly, though it happens with most matte lipsticks so that’s not an issue for me.

The staying power is out of the world, it lasted on my lips for flat 8 hours and survived small meals and loads of water.  After which there is a slight fading from the center of the lips.

NYX Matte Lipsticks come in matte black plastic bullet with transparent covering in the middle to display the shade of the lipstick. The cap shuts perfectly and its very light to carry. Hence it is very much travel friendly .

Now coming to the dupe, Sweet Pink is very close to MAC Archies Collection Lipstick in Daddy’s Little Girl which I have so yaaayyy now I have two of these! Though it is a LE and the only difference is the latter is creamy while nyx is matte.

Do I Recommend: NYX Matte Lipstick Sweet Pink is awesome. If you manage to get it then you will know how its a fab lipstick overall with an amazing pigmentation, texture and staying power. And most of all, a very flattering shade. Ofcourse I recommend it!

    Hey guys a very close and super affordable dupe for this shade is Avon’s darling mauve (from Simply pretty range) easily available through avon representatives..very similar to this nyx shade its a vibrant blue based pink with purple undertones..its quite opaque and pigmented inspite of being very economical (mrp 169 and mostly comes at an offer price of 99/119 rs) its great for all budget beauties and if you are trying a bold pink for the first time you can experiment buying this beauty without any guilt :)

  13. Ohh boy! Sharmistha you know about darling mauve?? I mean have you tried it on yourself? If you have tried then no one can judge it better,atleast not me :P after all you are the lipstick queen of VNA! Just love your lippie reviews! :) I thought of darling mauve as a dupe for nyx sweet pink n mac’s daddy’s girl..coz i compared the pic of your lip swatches and seeing my friend wearing darling mauve,shez as pretty as you are and about the same complexion as well! Yes the lipstick originally must be slightly darker than wat i can see in your pics,the camera barely shows exact beauty of the vibrant lipsticks/makeup :( anyways its nice to interact with u :) u totally rock in these vibrant shades! :)

    • Well i have seen darling mauve personally and i know this can be close dupe to nyx one.
