Review and Price of Bajaj Nomarks Neem Face Wash

By Contributor: Vaidehee

Hey you guys! So, about three weeks ago, my skin decided to freak out, break out, and make me look like someone who just had chicken pox. Needless to say, things are not going well for me. In lieu of that recent development, I was scouring for a drugstore range to help with my skin. And just then I got to try the new Bajaj No Marks Range, and here we are! After almost a week of regularly, religiously using the Bajaj No Marks neem Facewash, here is my review on it .

Nomarks Claims: New Bajaj Nomarks Neem Face Wash is enriched with encapsulated beads of Neem that help in removing excess oil and deep rooted dirt. It also provides relief from sunburn, blemishes and acne/pimple problems. Regular usage helps prevent pimples, lightens dark spots and refreshes skin.

Benefits:

  • Neem is an antiseptic and antibacterial.
  • Clove prevents acne.
  • Lemon protects from UV damage.

My Review:

Packaging: It comes in a classic old squeezy tube, nothing extraordinary. Functional, no-mess and hygenic.

Fragrance: To be honest, not everyone is a big fan of the” lemon-y zing infused with neem” scent, but oddly enough, i’ve always loved it. If this isn’t your thing, you might want to stay wary, because the fragrance is bloody strong !

What is it for?

The facewash in itself is part of the “No-Marks” range, which targets blemishes, breakouts and acne scars. Supposedly (it says so on the back) it prevents pimples, removes dirt and pollution particles, and relieves sun burn. Since we live in a giant TAWA with extreme humidity, it sounds like a good thing to try out.

Texture and Consistency : It’s your run of the mill gel-like facewash consistency. It foams up pretty well, which gives me the pseudo satisfaction of having a squeaky clean face. What i found most exciting were the capsules of neem extracts . Such a good deviation from the “gentle-exfoliating-beads” that face washes generally try to incorporate in to their formula. I did find that it didn’t dry out my skin , and since it is winter and my skin is almost reptilian during the cold season, this was a definite bonus!

Did it work for me?

I didn’t exactly have a sunburn (Winter! hello?) , so i don’t know about that part. But the ingredient list does contain aloe, which , obviously, helps with sun burn and sun damage.

I did however, have a massive breakout around my cheeks , and i have found that the redness and swelling has gone down reletively , and i don’t have any more zits popping up around my face.( it’s worth mentioning here that a facewash will not cure your acne, it will control it. so don’t expect this product to be some holy grail all-in-one treatement for acne. )

Nonetheless, it does help. The anti bacterials in neem prevent further bacterial growth , the lightening agents in the lemon do, over time, help to fade acne scars, and regular use of the facewash will prevent excess oil from building up.

What else Do I love about Nomarks Neem Face Wash?

  • It’s animal cruelty free . (Save the bunnies, Say no to animal testing! )
  • The manufacturer is an organic ayurvedic company. (Supposedly, i didn’t exactly fact-check)

What i don’t love about Nomarks Neem Face Wash?

  • The scent is pretty overpowering.
  • I would have preferred prettier packaging.

Price: The facewash retails at Rs 55 , for a 60 gram pack which is Dirt-Cheap. (Gujju going cray-cray over here!)

VNA Rating: 4/5

Verdict? For the price, the quantity, the quality, it’s a good buy. Definitely something I would replace the himalaya herbals neem facewash with.
