Nivea Pure Talc: Review, Price

Review, Swatches, Price, Buy Online Nivea Pure Talc Powder

By Contributor: Aruna

Nivea, as we all know, has been taking the market by storm as it has launched its new range of whitening and powder deodorants and various body lotions. To add to this impressive array of products, they have newly launched their talcum powders too. Personally, I haven’t used talcum powder in ages and when I got the Nivea Pure Talc, it was a pleasant surprise! I have already done a review on the Musk Talc which is more suited for men. While this one is meant for women.

Nivea Claims: Nivea Pure Talc gives you protection against body odour for all day long. Its gentle fragrance stimulates you and leaves you feeling refreshed and cared for

My Review:

Talcum powders have rare regular users nowadays as we all know with the array of deodorants that are available in the market. But with the onset of summer I am willing enough to try anything that will help me cool myself in this sweltering heat. Also, we all know that deodorants do contain an awful lot of chemicals in them which can be harmful for the skin and I also know people who get extremely irritated by the strong scent of it. So for those of you facing such a dilemma, a talc powder is a good option to consider.

The talcum, itself, comes packaged in a big plastic bottle which is white in colour. It is hefty bottle so it isn’t exactly travel friendly. Also, the plastic that is made of is prone to denting but the plus point is that you can easily squeeze out the product when you are running low. The nozzle or the dispenser on the nivea bottle is the standard one that you see on most talc bottles. It has a smooth revolving mechanism which shuts, opens and dispenses powder easily. One does get a generous amount of product in one bottle (400 grams) which, in my opinion, should last for a while.

The texture of the pure talc powder is smooth and soft. It easily spreads on the skin and makes it feel matte and smooth. I have tested this powder out in the sweltering Mumbai heat and I can assure you that this has worked well for me. All I did was dust a little bit under my arms and light dusting of it on my back to make sure my top did not stick to my body and roamed around the market shopping for 3 to 4 hours. The first 2 hours, even though I was sweating, my clothes did not stick to my body as they usually do in such humid weather and the scent also did not wear away. It was only after I hit the third hour that the humidity started taking over and by the fourth hour all I could detect was the slight scent of the product. The nivea talc powder smells like a typical talcum powder, a soft sweet feminine scent which kind of reminds me of mother! The scent however is pleasant and not over powering at all.

However, one must remember that this is not a medicinal powder. If you are someone who suffers from rashes in the summer then this powder will be ineffective on them. Using a good powder does prevent rashes by controlling seat but it doesn’t actually cure them. Those of you who have allergic problems to the chemicals present in a deodorant can give this one a go. I only wish that they came out with a smaller sized bottle though!

Pros of Nivea Pure Talc:

  • Pleasant scent
  • Affordable
  • Availibility both online and offline
  • Has a decent staying power

Cons of Nivea Pure Talc:

  • Packaging is not travel friendly

Conclusion: If you are on the hunt for something that will keep the humidity on bay this summer or if you aren’t really a fan of deodorants then I would suggest that you keep an eye out for this product! It smells good, keeps you comfortable and does a decent job, overall.

  1. I’m a customer of Nivea powder from many years. My complaint against the container design. Not user friendly. We need to struggle a lot to open or close or ensure that you hands a dry without any oil content. Requesting quality department (if exist) to provide some grooves to provide grip on the cap.

  2. Hiya, I’m really glad I’ve found this info. Today bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is actually annoying. A good web site with interesting content, that is what I need. Thanks for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can not find it.
