Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50+ PA+++ Review
Okay how do I start reviewing a sunscreen? Let’s start from the start. The major ‘buy me’ f actor was the SPF 50+ tag. I’m not one to re-apply sunscreen, I’m more of an apply in the morning and get done type. So I needed a sunscreen that would keep me protected for longer. Also the PA+++ thing is another thing I check before buying a sunscreen now. Ever since I started blogging I’ve got more gyaani. This one protects from both UVA
Now what about the skin’s love-o-meter? This one is a thick lotion and you need a little amount for your face. I won’t say its very easy to blend because you do need a little rubbing to get it absorbed into the skin completely but it isn’t difficult either. It gives a matte finish on application and still doesn’t dry out your skin or emphasize dry patches. Also I’ve never seen that dreaded white cast on my face with this one that some of my previous sunscreens used to give. And it suits my sensitive skin, never broke me out…..if it can suit me it can suit ANYBODY! No seriously my skin is like the perfect guinea pig which starts showing results instantly to anything that comes in contact.
I get to see the oily-shine on my face about an hour after the application which I do not like. Its a little heavier than normal sunscreens. And that’s my only issue with it. But I can live with it until a better option comes along. For now I dust some loose powder over it and it solves the problem.
FYI this sunscreen has been discontinued in the west and has been replaced by SPF 55, 70+ and 100+. I still don’t know why they did that. Moreover according to recent studies, this Sun BLOCK thing is just a marketing gimmick. There is no such sunscreen that can fully block sun rays.

Price: Rs. 450 for 80ml (also available at Rs.150 for 30ml) I just did the math, you actually get lesser quantity in the big tube. Weird! Me no buying the big tube from now.
So is it for you? Yes if you are looking for longer protection from UVA-UVB rays with added advantage of PA+++. You are good for some 3-4hrs once it is applied. It doesn’t dry out your face nor does it gives a white cast. But it is a little heavy for oily skin and you need to blend it out nicely for it to get absorbed. One of the best sunscreens available in the market.
nice review Ansh, been thinking of buying it, will do it for sure now.
I have used this and it used to be my fav even though its heavy and leaves my face very oily :( but, the new moisture plus is awesome!!!
Nice blog Ansh :-)
Glad to follow you !!!
