Am back with a lipstick review after naa jaane kitne saal! I have been caught up in personal matters and am dreadfully late to share this amazing and my first tryst with NARS cosmetics. My relative brought a couple back from abroad and this was one of my chosen shades (yes am a huge nude lipstick freak) Presenting our focus of today- Nars Barbara

from the Audacious lipstick collection. We already have a review and swatches on a doll pink shade from this range called Nars Michiyo. Today we talk of nude lips!

My Review:

The packaging of these nars audacious lipsticks is so so luxurious and sexy I could have died then and there. It’s a square matte black sturdy tube with a magnetic click cap which swivels and shuts like magic. I adore it! (fingerprint and dirt-catcher alert!)

The texture of these nars lipsticks is surely another sixer NARS scores! Light, buttery smooth, applies like a dream even on dry lips and never accentuates lip lines or flaws! It is not at all heavy/sticky and is a sheer delight to apply and reapply.

In spite of being so buttery and gorgeous, the pigmentation of thus audacious lipstick is top-notch as well and you get full color in a couple of swipes! Totally impressed.

The shade Barbara as described by NARS, is certainly a rosy tan shade and one of the best nudes for my complexion I have come across! It does not wash me out but neutralizes my lip color to the right pinky nude with a satin finish. I usually apply clear gloss over it to emphasize it.

The staying power of Nars Barbara is quite great actually which is surprising considering its buttery texture and stays easily on my lips for 4 hours + and does not leave my lips parched after wearing off.

• Dreamy smooth buttery texture, applies on lips like a dream and does not emphasize any lip lines/flaws-it settles into a smooth polished satin finish
• great pigmentation- only a couple of swipes is sufficient to get enough color
• the shade Barbara is a beautiful rose tinged nude shade perfect for me
• good staying power as well and stays on for 4+ hours
• Does not dry out lips after it fades away

Do I recommend? I am so angry at sephora for not bringing NARS to india. These audacious lipsticks are buttery smooth, gorgeous, comes in a plethora of gorgeous shades, has great pigmentation and sets into a sexy satin finish. Can compete and beat with any other lipstick from any high-end brand! A must get if you have friends abroad!
