My Arabian Bollywood Look!

sculpted cheekbones

Why Arabian? Because I just love the hair accessories these Arabian girls get to wear. If I had my way I would walk around wearing all my necklaces on my head! Infact I’ve got so many pics of mine in my phone wearing various pendants and head gears. Its just sailor keeps telling me that its private stuff and you shouldn’t go around making them your whatsapp and facebook profile photos so I somehow stop myself everytime. But not anymore!

Recently L’Oreal came up with this new Sunset Collection for Cannes 2013 celebrating 100 years of hindi cinema. So they sent accross some stuff to try and create a bollywood look. And I knew what I had to do *wink*

Although we did have more ideas: Rekha’s signature pout look, Saira Banu’s winged liner look and a couple of others. And I   initially planned to do the Saira Banu makeup look but honestly I was itching to wear another necklace on my head! But I am planning to do it next week so wait and watch.

I posted this teaser on VNA’s facebook page and the response was so good!

How I started?

I had just an hour left to do my makeup and click pics before the sunset and I don’t like to use flash. So quickly the Arabian princess started her makeup. In 5mins flat I was done! I didn’t go for dramatic eyes since the lipstick I wore was neon pink. But somehow it photos it came out coral. In real life its bright neon pink!

I originally wore my tiny Accessorize pendant on my head and some feathers in my ears. And my mom’s first response was “so you call this dramatic? Bas itna hi kar sakti hai?” Yes Mom! Her style is always so simple and neutral (I have to force bright lipsticks on her!). So there my mom took out her old jewellery box and we started scrounging for the jewels! One after another I tried all the necklaces but boy this multi-coloured kundan necklace got me hooked!

bridal makeup look

Yeah yeah I got dragged a bit. I almost removed it from the post.

The only normal photo I came up with. I just can’t do the regular smile-and-click poses.

Those earrings were huge! And it was so hot that my makeup was melting. And honestly I prefer not to wear earrings….I feel I look kinda intense without them.

  4. I’ve been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before.
