Maybelline has some of the best eyeliners be it liquid or gel form. Their hyper glossy liner in the shade black is a staple for me and I use it every day. I was really happy to see some new additions in the range in the form of new Electrics Eyeliner. I like wearing colored eyeliners

once in a while, it adds a nice pop of color to the eyes without spending in much time and efforts and Maybelline Hyper Glossy Electrics Liquid Eyeliner in shade Electro Shock which I will review and swatch today is what I am sporting on my eyes these days.

Maybelline Claims: Straight from the runways, the Maybelline Hyper Glossy Electrics shiny liquid liner adds mesmerizing color to your lids. Infused with the hyper reflective polymer technology and liquid metal combination, this dazzling liquid eyeliner imparts a striking electric sheen that lasts for hours! Available in five eye-catching, trend-setting shades like Violet Volt, Lazer Green, Gold-lation, Electro-shock and Silver Trance, this shiny electric liquid liner lets you create interesting looks for your eyes every day! Delivers dazzling, electric hues that make your eyes pop.

My Review:

These liners were launched in five bright shades and I got the shade electro shock which was instant love for me. I like that these liners come in colored coded packaging and not the boring black, electro shock comes in a blue bottle along with a long black handle. The brush is fine and gives great precision in drawing fine or thick lines.

Maybelline Electro shock is a bright and vibrant electric blue color, it is not too light or dark and has just the right intensity. It has a nice metallic shine without obvious shimmers. It is not just your average blue liner but quite unique in its own way. The color is very easy to pull off and will work across all skin tones, I love how it brightens up the whole look, certainly a must have for parties and festive season!

The consistency of the liner is perfect, it has a smooth texture which glides easily. The shade is well pigmented, one stroke gives decent color payoff, but being a bright shade it needs 2 swipes to get opaque color payoff. It dries down within few seconds of application. The color stays intact on my eyes for 7- 8 hours without any kind of fading, but the formula is not smudgeproof or waterproof. It tends to fade and peel off on rubbing or touching the eyes, removal is fairly easy too , but since I love the color so much I don’t mind the minor cons.

What I like about Maybelline Hyper Glossy Electrics Liquid Eyeliner Electro Shock:

• Has a nice metallic sheen without chunky shimmers.
• Sleek packaging along with a great brush.
• Formula dries quickly.
• Pigmentation is great.
• Good staying power.
• Extremely affordable.

What I don’t like about Maybelline Hyper Glossy Electro Shock:

• It is not smudge proof or waterproof.

Do I recommend? Definitely, the color absolutely steals the show here and is so easy to wear. It is a must have this festive season, I recommend it to everyone who likes wearing colored eyeliners.
