A few days back I did a post on best mascaras in India. Inspired by it I decided to change my current mascara and went to buy the L’oreal Volume Million Lashes one. But we all know how the SAs are. Maybelline SA bugged me with this Mascara to the extent that she made me try the L’oreal one on one eye and this Maybelline one on other. But this time instead of being angry on her, I thanked her. Because this maybelline Falsies gave same results as the L’oreal VML and was lesser in price too. So once again, trapped in the net of the SAs I came back home with this baby (but this time I am glad being trapped!) Let’s start with the review and swatches.
Maybelline Claims: False Lash glam, instantly! Patented Spoon brush fans out lashes from corner to corner, while our Pro-Keratin formula instantly builds volume without clumping.
Why You’ll Love It:
Expert Tip: Hold brush with spoon side upwards against lashes and sweep from root to tip to fill in gaps and coat each lash with Kera-Fiber formula. Repeat until false lash look is achieved. Do not let dry between coats. Read more here
My Review:
The mascara comes in a bright purple colored fat bottle. The packaging is eye catching for sure and also easy to locate in vanity. The wand of the mascara is C-shaped or spoon shaped. The bristles are plasticky yet soft on lashes. Formula may seem sticky and thick on swatching at hands but it’s very light on eyes and does not clump at all.
I don’t use this mascara just normal vertically but I move it in a zig zag motion while going from roots to ends. This way I love the way it instantly transforms my lashes from a zero to direct 10. I apply 2-3 coats of it and it defines the lashes beautifully and give them great volume and lengthens them too. YES! It scores well in all parts. It doesn’t dry that quick but also doesn’t take ages to dry too and also holds the curl for long.
My only qualm with it is that it requires quite an effort in removing. I have to use more makeup remover as compared to my earlier mascara and swipe atleast 5-6 times to remove it properly. At that time I think that I should have bought the washable one. Except this, it’s a true love for me!

Pros of Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara:
Cons of Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara:
Price: Rs.475
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Do I Recommend? Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara is one mascara which scores well on all points and is cheaper as compared to many high end brands giving similar results. Definitely a must try!

I must say I was looking more at the liner than the mascara.
I've yet to try this but it sounds like a great mascara for volume! Pretty EOTD! <3

Yet to try this but sounds good! ^_^
I think I'm going to start buying only non-waterproof mascaras now.. my maybelline hypercurl which I'm using currently isn't waterproof and it works just as well :D
anyway, this looks really lovely on you, and what eyeliner are you wearing? it's beautiful!!
Thanks Aditi.... The eyeliner is lakme absolute liquid eyeliner in Brown shimmer.
THis one is a major pain while removing... needs an oil based cleanser.. my Cetaphil cleanser never worked on it.. I use coconut oil to remove it...
this mascara gave me the worst eye infection ever- chemical conjunctivitis. I gave it a try thrice, but to no avail no matter how much I wanted to love it :(
OMGGGG! really??? now am apprehensive towards this...
Nice pics and nice review
