A black liner is a staple for most of us; I personally love a good liquid liner and use it almost daily since I feel it gives the most precise application especially for that perfect winged eyeliner look which we all love. And here is the new Colossal liner by Maybelline in shade Black

which makes eyeliner application easy as a cakewalk which I will review and swatch today. The Maybelline Colossal range already has a black kajal, turquoise kohl, both waterproof and non waterproof mascaras and now the pen eyeliner which I recently bought.

My Review:

Maybelline the colossal liner is only available in black color as of now, I wish Maybelline introduces some new shades as these pen eyeliners are a boon for many. I was very impressed to see how one stroke gives opaque jet black shade, pigmentation wise this is one of the best liquid eyeliner currently available. The formula is not too wet and sets within seconds to a semi matte finish which has slight sheen which prevents it from looking flat.

It does not budge easily or transfer. The liner is not completely waterproof and on contact with water it can get messy but a good eye makeup remover is needed to remove all the last traces completely. I have been using this liner since a while now and have not experience any drying issues with the tip so far. Currently in winters it stays for around 7 hours without any fading and smudging, although I doubt about the staying span during summers.

Maybelline the Colossal Liner is a black colored lightweight pen with bright yellow writing on it. The packing is very handy and does not leak, the cap does not come off easily which makes it travel friendly .The soft foam tip is flexible yet firm and gives good control while lining eyes, It glides smoothly without irritating the eyes. The pointed tip makes the application very easy without any streakiness.

What I liked about Maybelline the Colossal Liner Black:

Conclusion: If you are someone who is always in a hurry while getting ready and do not want to mess up with your eyeliner or in general are not comfortable with liquid liners, then this liner should be on top of your priority list. It applies evenly and has jet black color payoff along with the flexible tip which helps in creating thin or thick lines and of course it is a great budget option, an absolute must buy.
