Okay I know that this review was supposed to be written like 25000 years ago but being the busy+lazy bum that I am, like 90% of times I was busy and the othe 10% I was feeling lazy to write this, but once when Anshu told me, that NAYA POST HUMKA CHAHI (in typical bihari accent) I thought its high time I review and swatch my most favourite drugstore kajal liner at the moment, the new shade in Maybelline The Colossal Kohl range

called Crushed Emerald. Back in class 10, I was soo crazy for the colour emerald, that I literally changed my surname on facebook to EMERALD! okay I know I blabber a lot, so lets see what I have to say about the love of my life (sorry Mr.VK)

My Review of Maybelline Kajal Crushed Emerald:

Shade: okay wait a minute. The shade Crushed Emerald is like moss green, so pretty as if god had taken the greens from pine forests and crushed his jewels into it adding finner shimmer that looks oh so mesmerising. And let me tell you, if you want to flatter hearts this wedding season, just throw on a gold eyeshadow over the lid and finish with a cat eye from this emerald beauty, you are ready and good to go. In my personal opinion greens like this with a warm undertone, suit brown and black eyes the best. In the eye makeup I have kept things simple, with MAC amber lights eyeshadow

all over the lid and a winged line with my crushed emerald liner.

PACKAGING: these colossal kajal liners come in the classic newyork taxi vibrant yellow packaging, made of sturdy plastic, which closes tight and I love. This time, they do come with little colour coding all through the body, and also the botom rim, makig it easy to locate, it is a mechanical twist up pencil, so easy for lazy people like me.

TEXTURE & PIGMENTATION: The texture of this maybelline kohl is quite nice and smooth, not hard or crayon-y or too buttery soft that it breaks- it spreads and applies quite easily. For the pigmentation I guess I need to swipe across twice for full on opaque pigmentation (no complaints)

Staying power: in terms of staying power this maybelline kohl has got fevicol ka jod, once you apply it, its not going to move. Mark my words! All your facewash and eye rubbing is not going to take this off, until and unless you use a really heavy duty makeup remover and work on it. To be time exact, it stayed for more than 24 hours on the hand swatch that I have included in the post. So basically you can just wear it and go to the arctic circle and this guy would stay put on the eyelids.

PROS of Maybelline Colossal Kohl Crushed Emerald:

• Slim, cute peppy new york cab ( if I mention new york like 10000 times in my post, please don’t mind, because I am like crazy about NYC) twist-up pen packaging with a tight cap
• The texture is medium-soft and applies smoothly and even without having to tug or pull.
• The shade is such a pretty emerald, with fine shimmer, without looking tacky, plus emerald pink and turquoise and any thing unicorn-y is are my favourite colours
• Pigmentation is quite good but does need a couple of swipes for the dark opaque color.
• It definitely stays for a long time, like llllloongggg time and did not budge till I raded my eyes with a removing solution

CONS of Maybelline Colossal Kohl Crushed Emerald:

•  Heh..?? NO cons bebeh (sassy tone)

Conclusion: I would totally recommend colossal kohl, specially this shade. I know the lazy bum that I am, have written a review almost after 1 month of purchase but after reading close your electronic devices, steal money from where ever possible and run to a store and get it. Also get the grafitti nail paints from maybelline.
