Maybelline Colossal Kajal (New 12hr): Review and Swatches

Colossal Kajal by Maybelline Review

What sets NYC cabs apart from the rest of the world? The yellow yellow naughty fellow colour! And I guess that’s what inspired Maybelline for the packaging of their very popular The Colossal series which includes a mascara and kajal which I will review and swatch today. And it makes sense since its a New York brand. See how these little cues tell us a lot about brands and their origins. You know what else the kohl reminds me of? The lab coats White and Jesse wear in the meth lab in Breaking Bad (I super love the show..Yo biaaaatch!) You know what else it reminds me of? Sarojini Nagar

market where you can see these selling for like 100 bucks each. Those are as fake as the Baby Lips being sold there. Don’t buy them ever!

Maybelline Claims: The deepest black Kajal, creates bold lines & is smudge free for up to  12 hours. Add intense drama to your eyes with the blackest black eye kajal from Maybelline. A pencil kajal that gives bold lines, glossy shine and glides on smoothly. Maybelline Colossal Kajal  is totally smudge-free and water resistant. It is enriched with Vitamin E that soothes the eyes and prevents irritation. Opthalmologically tested & suitable for contact lens users. The colour is blacker than the other retractable kohls I have tried. The finish is matte which I love. Although I like dewy kajals but then they smudge easily so mattes are more logicial. It reminds me of the gel liner by Maybelline. I’m not saying they are same but both of them have the same matte finish I like.

Even though its matte, it never tugs or pulls and applies easily. I like the way it fades. It starts fading after 5-6 hours from my waterline but doesn’t smudge and goes all across my face but disappears magically without giving me those raccoon eyes. Its safe to apply and never irritates my eyes.
