Maybelline Blush Studio Blush ‘Em Review, Swatches: I’m Fashionista

Review, Swatches, Price, Buy Online Maybelline Blush Studio Blush ‘Em Powder Blush I’m Fashionista

When it comes to makeup, I am always on the hunt for new stuff. While there are a gazillion types of lipsticks and eye liners flooding the markets, I feel there are still not enough types of blushes, bronzers and other face products. A blush is what adds color to the face and actually keeps the face from looking pale and flat. After having tried most of the blushes available in India by drugstore brands and not being really impressed with any, I figured its time I tried something new. That’s when I spotted the Maybelline Blush ‘em blushes

for quite affordable a price and picked up 3 instantly. One of these, I will review and swatch today in the shade I’m Fashionista.

My Review of Maybelline Blush Studio Blush ‘Em I’m Fashionista

Shade: the Maybelline blush em blushes have a really cool concept. Instead of just one blush color in the palette like most of the other blushes, these come with two shades. One is the light shade for highlighting and the other shade is the darker one that can be used as blush and as a contour powder too.

The highlighter shade in the maybelline blush studio palette is a warm toned light brown shade with shimmer in it and it really is a gorgeous shade to be worn as a highlighter as well as an eye shadow. The other shade in this I’m fashionista palette is a brown toned mauve color. The reason why I like this maybelline blush so much is because the mauve shade can be used as a blush

and for the purpose of contouring too. The mauve looks very natural and does a great job at defining the cheek bones. I like how it isn’t like usual blushes i.e. bright and very-obviously pink and neither is it like a typical bronzer i.e. flat brown with specks of shimmer. I’m fasionista is a cool blend of pink and brown and it complements my skin tone really well.

When going for a no-makeup makeup look, maybelline I’m fashionista is the shade of blush that I reach out for the most as it adds a healthy glow to my face thanks to the highlighter shade and adds a bit of color and definition too because of the pretty mauve blush shade.

Texture: I have oily skin type and even though cream blushes tempt me like nothing else does, it’s not the best option out there for me. So I always have to resort to powder blushes. The Maybelline blush em blush is a powder blush with a texture similar to the Maybelline cheeky glow blushes. However having used both of these blushes, I can say that while the cheeky glow blushes are slightly chalky in texture, these blush’em blushes on the other hand are not chalky at all. These are easy to blend. The blush palette also comes with a tiny blush brush inside. The brush is smooth and because it is tapered at the edges t is a great brush if I want to use the blush a contour powder.

Longevity: if I wear the blush em maybelline blush as it is on my skin for around 4 hours but if its worn over a primer and base makeup it easily lasts me 6+ hours. The blush studio fades evenly and does not leave my skin oily like some other blushes do.

This maybelline blush palette is fairly tiny and because it comes with a brush too, I feel it’s a great blush for travelling or even just keeping in the handbag on the go.

Pros of Maybelline Blush Studio Blush ‘Em I’m Fashionista:

  • Sturdy packaging
  • Packaging is tiny and comes with a brush too. Therefore it is a travel friendly product
  • Comes with a highlighting shade too which adds a nice glow to the face
  • Can be doubled up for contouring purposes too.
  • The highlighter shade as well as the blush shade can be used as an eyeshadow too
  • The blush shade is a nice mauve color which looks very understated and is perfect for everyday wear
  • Stays on for 4-6 hours depending upon the base makeup
  • Doesn’t make my face oily
  • Affordable price
  • The blush is easy to apply and blend
  • Best thing about this blush- it comes with a highlighter shade that contains shimmer and the other shade is shimmer free so you apply the highlighter where you want a bit of glow and apply the blush where you want matte texture.

Cons of Maybelline Blush Studio Blush ‘Em I’m Fashionista:

  • It is not yet available in india

Price: around Thai Baht 250 (INR 500)

VNA Rating: 4/5

Recommendation: I’d highly recommend everyone who likes the Maybelline cheeky glow blushes to give these mayeblline blush’em blushes a try. The Maybelline blushes come with two shades inside- a highlighter with shimmer and a blush color which happens to be matte. Although these are yet to be launched in India officially, these blushes can easily be bought online at various sites as well as some stores that sell imported drugstore cosmetics.
