So how many of you go to MAC store very determined to pick up just one product and end up with well you know. It happens to me all the time..sob sob. And See Sheer is one of my those lipsticks which I was sucked into buying..well! Its a MAC store and being a beauty blogger its allowed! But not next time and that we shall see! And ooh I am so glad I picked this up. Its a pretty coral shade which is quite a hit when it comes to summer lipsticks. Let’s start with the review and swatches.
MAC Claims: Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous. Mac describes see sheer as “grapefruit pink” in lustre finish.
MAC See Sheer is a lustre finish lipstick, not one my favourite finishes but this one is pretty awesome. See sheer is mostly a coral lipstick with slight pink undertones and is a little warmer than Crosswires. It is perfect for Indian skin tones, just the perfect amount of coral in it. See sheer is a beautiful summer/spring shade but I wouldn’t mind wearing it in winters either! What I love about it the most is it is shimmer free, because it is lustre and the texture is creamy but the colour is sheer. You can build up the shade but this isn’t suitable for extremely pigmented lips.
One more thing I adore is, this is one of those lipsticks that doesn’t require a mirror for application, just take the lipstick swirl it around your lips and you are done! See sheer can be worn for office or a casual day out or a night out with smokey eyes and on a daily basis too. For lip gloss girls this is a great transition from lip gloss to lipsticks. It isn’t bright or heavy but just gives the perfect amount of color and yet retains glossiness as it is a lustre finish. It is quiet moisturising but I would apply on well moisturised lips as it may look a little uneven on dry chapped lips.
When it comes to staying power, because it is glossy it stays on me till I eat something heavy like say lunch, I do need to re apply after but it does stay between small snack breaks. Overall a nice pretty warm coral shade to have in your stash. Works beautifully as a daily wear shade. This shade will particularly suit all skin tones especially light to medium but even on dusky Indian skin tones it will work perfectly fine.
