Just last year I would faint at the thought of buying a Mac product. I would hurriedly pass through the MAC stores and now an year later I secretly bribe convince the Mac MUAs to pass me stuff from the Limited Edition collections even before they officially launch in my city i.e.Kolkata. Today I am up with review and swatches of MAC Ripe For Love Blush from the new Temperature Rising Collection 2013.
Right now I am in a blushes and peaches phase. So I was looking for some peach blush and when it is from MAC and that too Limited Edition then why not? I guess India is the last place where MAC launched the Temperature Rising. It first got launched in UK in April and I’ve been eyeing it since then. I did so much research on this collection as I didn’t want to miss any wonder product like the way I did with Archie’s collection
. When I visited the Mac store a day before the official launch, the MUA passed it to me under the table saying “awwwwww” . I convinced her to sell me the blush secretly!
Mac Ripe for Love is described as as mid-tone peach with a satin finish . Its a pretty coral pink shade with warm tones. The texture is very soft so blends easily. The blush is so pigmented that you better apply it with a light hand. One swirl of brush takes enough product to give a soft peach pink tone to your cheeks. From my experience the staying power is 7 hours+ which is really good for people who sweat a lot as this blush comes with a longer wear formulation (as told my the Mac MUA). The blush is not at all matte, on closer inspection I did find some golden shimmer which of course doesn’t settle into the pores and gives a light luminescent finish which looks really flattering on our Indian skin.
I don’t have any NARS blush but rumor has it that the finish of MAC Ripe for love blush is nearly similar to it. As this is a limited edition so I compared it with another limited edition blush from MAC that I bought a few days back. Ripe for Love from temperature rising is far better than the Archie’s collection blushes. The blush comes in a nice dark metallic bronze case with a velvety soft sturdy case which look really classy. This collection is so good that I think there is something for everyone.
