I am talking about that time when I have very less idea regarding MAC cosmetics and whenever I asked people to suggest me a nice pink lipstick for my Indian skin tone from MAC, most of them would tell me to get gave either Girl About Town or Impassioned but they would simply overlook a very good pink lipstick from the Pro longwear range that I just found about recently while searching for swatches of best MAC pink lipsticks. Yes I am talking about Love forever from Pro longwear lip crème range which I will review and swatch today.

Mac Love Forever is a bright magenta pink with blue undertones. Mac describes Love forever as a light blue-pink shade that will suit people from fair to medium skin tones. It looks a lovely vibrant pink that enhances my skin tone whenever I wear it. Definitely very much pigmented, thus one swipe is enough to give opaque coverage.

Mac describes Pro longwear lip crème lipsticks as “light in texture, creamy in finish and comfortable long wear”. The lipstick has a creamy finish so it glides super smoothly. The staying power of the lipstick is awesome. It stays for more than 8 hours on my lips and definitely survives meals….yes! Finally I got something from the MAC lipstick range that survives our Bengali meals (We Bengali are big foodies!) Mac has put in the usual fragnance of vanilla in the lip cremes too.

The bullet of the lipstick is sleek, a little thinner than the usual Mac bullet which I think might be little difficult to apply on lips but again it is after all from a different range so I guess the look and packaging had to be different.

The most amazing part of this range that I experienced is the wear time. It stays for such long periods..say around 8hours hours or so. It never settles into lip lines, looks patchy or makes them dry. It remains just the same through out the day. I know I might be sounding like I am endorsing the lip crème but trust me you are going to love the texture of the lipstick and at the same time will get impressed by its longevity. It’s pricey definitely but it is the one lipstick that I will say is worth buying as the high price totally pays off. I won’t say it is transfer resistant but it transfers less than the average lipstick.
