Review of MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipstick Mystical
By Contributor: Samannita
MAC always comes up with different variants in packaging and everytime they come up with different LE packaging its always a hit. This summer MAC Alluring Aquatic collection launched in India. When the beauty bloggers worldwide rave about a latest launch we sit back at home keeping our eyes on google to see which product is a hit and which one is a miss and thus decide the fate of new LE products even before they are launched in India. This collection comes has Siren Song (sheer pale beige lustre), Pet Me Please ( light shimmering mauve frost, Enchanted One (mid-tone neutral pink matte), Mystical (mid-tone creamy rose cremsheen), Goddess of the Sea (dark vibrant violet cremsheen). The lipsticks in Alluring Aquatic collection are a mixture of lustre, frost, matte and

MAC Mystical is the only shade that will go with every Indian skin tone and that’s why this particular lipstick was the first one that sold out everywhere in India when it got launched. I kept pinging the a MAC MUA of a store in my city to book this lipstick for me and thanks to my friend Madhubani who collected this.
The shade mystical is a very nice versatile shade that I think will suit everyone and is just perfect for daily wear. Mac describes the shade as mid-tone creamy rose which i think is perfect description of the shade. It is a perfect shade for office wear.
Coming to the packaging it is worth mentioning that the collection is hit due to its packaging. You can actually feel the water droplets while touching it. The packaging at first sight gives you a feel of beaches and pleases your eyes eyes everytime you take it out.
The lipstick has cremsheen finish which is why I didn’t expect any awesome staying power but it stays pretty much for 5 hours on my lips with slight fading. The texture of the lipstick is very moisturizing and I don’t feel any tugging or pulling of my lips while applying this lipstick. This is my first lipstick from MAC cremsheen range so i can’t compare it with the regular line but I can say that the lipstick fared better than what I expected.

Pros of MAC Mystical Lipstick:
- Nice summery packaging. The water droplets are fun to touch.
- The rosy nude shade is perfect for daily wear.
- As it is cremsheen it is quite moisturizing on dry lips.
- Stays on for 5 hours on my lips.
- Doesn’t tug or pull while applying
Cons of MAC Mystical Lipstick:
- Limited edition.
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
My Recommendation: MAC Mystical from Alluring Aquatic collection is quite dupeable so you can easily skip it but for the packaging I think it is worth having. You should buy atleast one product from this collection as we don’t see such fun packaging by MAC often.
