Mac Indulge Collection: Lipstick Swatches

Before you go indulge in the the latest Mac launch: the Indulge Collection (which just got launched in India last week), I have brought (read smuggle) you the lipstick swatches. I went there with the intention of swatching the whole collection but after looking at the shades in person, I stopped at the lipsticks only. Most of the shades are not meant for the dusky Indian skin tones. No one was paying heed to this tiny collection sitting in the front. Well..I don’t blame them. Have a look at the lipstick swatches:

From right to left:

1. By Design: soft beige nude with frost finish (the only shade I liked in the whole collection. It can work well with smokey eyes)

2. Sweet Succulence: Vampy Plum shade with a Lustre finish (good for halloween makeup looks)

3. Smash Hit: Golden Sparkle (not wearable)

Other shades from the collection which I could not swatch:

4. Feed the Senses: Mauve nude with Lustre finish

5. Just a Bite: Blue toned red with Satin finish

I guess there was a slight confusion or misunderstanding at the Select City Walk Mac store. The swatch you see on the extreme left was also named Sweet Succulence but I had seen the swatches on Temptalia so I knew it was labeled wrong.

Also, Mac Rebel (the second swatch from left) was placed under the Indulge collection so I had the impression it was being re-promoted with this collection but that’s clearly not the case.

And the tester for Sweet Succulence was terribly broken and that explains the clumsy swatch. I had to actually take out the broken and melted bullet out of the lipstick tube with my hands and then swatch it!

• Gilt Gourmet: Sparkling burnished gold
• Deliciously Rich: Shimmering dirty taupe
• Blacktrack Solid: flat black (Permanent)

Cremeblend Blush:

• Tease Your Tastes: Soft neutral pink
• Glamour Feast: Deep rose

Eyeshadow:

All these are Limited Edition. I couldn’t spot the cream blushes..I so wanted to check Tease Your Tastes. You like anything?
