This is my first lipstick review and I am feeling a bit excited writing about it. So my first MAC lipstick which I got as a gift from one of my friends on my birthday. All my friends were asking me “kya chahiye khud hi bta de” so I decided to get a bright pink lipstick but wasn’t sure if the likes of Impassioned, Chatterbox, Fanfare, Candy Yum Yum would suit me. I was crazily spent all days and nights searching google for a good bright neon pink lipstick for Indian skin tones. I am such a fool you know, Anshita already suggested me Mac Girl About Town and Ing lot 421 but still I used to stay up all night like an owl whole night to search for the best pink lipstick reviews and swatches and ended up taking mac girl about town as my gift. Thanks to Anshita for suggesting me such a pretty shade!

MAC Girl About Town is a bright pink shade with blue under tones. It is the perfect pink for fair to dark skin tones. I am around nc37 in Mac and GAT is also recommended by Mac Artist Vimi Joshi for Indian skin tones. It is a good winter pink lipstick too! Its a lot pigmented and one swipe gives you opaque coverage.

You can pair it with a neutral eye for the daytime or a smokey eyes for clubbing. The best part about this lipstick is that the color looks flattering on practically all skin tones!

Girl About Town comes in Amplified Creme finish and has a super creamy and moisturizing texture. It makes my lips look so juicy and healthy, that I don’t really need any lip gloss on top for extra shine. It’s not too drying plus it has a slight glossy quality to it which I just love.

The staying power of GAT is atleast 5 hours if you don’t end accidentally wiping it out or washing it away. It can survive light meals and snacks. I wore it on my birthday party and had to reapply just once. The best part of this lipstick is it fades evenly so you’re not left with patchy or uneven lips. Its so hard to find a dupe for GAT in India!

I really like to wear lipsticks but my mom doesn’t like it. Its because she thinks simplicity is the best. Though she allows makeup on special occasions but not daily. But now she can’t complaint because I got it as a gift! And on this bday she even gave me the permission to apply it and do my eyes. I know I am acting like a small kid but I am feeling so happy that I can’t help it! And now I am planning a big Rimmel lipsticks haul !

The good things about MAC Girl About Town Lipstick:

• Pretty bright pink shade which suits almost all Indian skin tones.
• Staying power is very good for about 5 hours on me.
• Pigmentation is good.
• The finish is very creamy and gives a smooth finish.
• The lipstick is not drying at all and quite moisturizing.

The bad things about MAC Girl About Town Lipstick:

• I found the lipstick to be perfect. No bad points.

Do I Recommend: MAC Girl About Town is a fuchsia pink colour and a must have if you are a bright pink lipstick lover. If you don’t own this yet then you’re definitely missing out on a very good lipstick. I can see why it’s one of Mac’s cult lipsticks! So girls a big yes for GAT. The quality is supreme, its creamy and moisturizing and stays for around 5 hours on me. It goes opaque in just one swipe and will easily last for a long time
