MAC Craving Amplified Creme Lipstick

Today’s review is on one my latest Mac purchases. I was craving for a Mac lipstick and then went ahead and got myself Mac Craving! This is an amplified creme lipstick from the permanent collection. I fell in love with the lipstick at the first sight. Let’s start with the review and swatches.

MAC describes this shade as a burst of plum. Its a plummy pink shade with slight blue tones. It can work on all skin tones but would really flatter medium to dark Indian skin tones. It gives opaque coverage in a couple of swipes. It has this subtle shine to it which makes your lips really glossy. It’s such a wearable colour and really brightens up my complexion. Since winters are coming, this plum shade would be a perfect shade for fall. Plus it goes very well with all of my outfits. The creamy or glossy finish gives a healthy look to the lips.

The formula is very creamy, soft and smooth. It is quite moisturising. As the name says “Amplified Creme” it really is quite creamy and moisturizing  It stays for at least 4-5 hours and never dries my lips as it provides hydration. It goes super smoothly on the lips. It does transfer a bit but never moves outsides the lip lines. The formula is very creamy and feels very light on lips.

Packaging is quite simple. It comes in a black outer case with silver from inside. It is very sturdy and travel friendly. There is no indication of colour from outside which is a big disadvantage and can be time consuming as you need to open each and every lipstick to locate the colour.

Cons of Mac Craving:

• Colour indication not shown outside the case
• It does transfer a bit

Overall Verdict: Mac Craving Lipstick is a very pretty deep plump pink shade which would suit all Indian skin tones. I am In love with the awesome quality, pigmentation and texture. It is very moisturizing as well and stays on longer for at least 4-5 hours on the lips. What else one wants from these MAC lipsticks. This works perfectly well in brightening up my face. It is soft enough to wear with neutral looks. Yes it is expensive but totally worth the price. Highly recommended to everyone!!
