Mac describes Chili as a brown based orange red. It is a brown brick red with warm tones. I would name it “less screaming” red. If Russian Red is too bright for you and Lady Danger too cool then you can check out Mac Chili. But in my opinion its a mature shade so wouldn’t recommend it too the young girls.
As for the finish, it falls in the matte category but is not drying like other matte MACs.

As you can see the orange undertone is prominent in the artificial light. But the true colour comes out in the natural day light. A strong brown base.

What is your opinion? The colour is nice but I’m not a fan. But I’m sure a lot of you are going to love it…female instinct?

  • This is an orangey red. I tried Lady Danger and some other orange lipsticks at Mac yesterday and they were a bit too much for daily wear but Chili is perfect.
