Lotus Herbals White Glow Skin Whitening & Brightening Emulsion Review – Old News eh?

Lotus Herbals White Glow Skin Whitening & Brightening Emulsion Review
You know what makes a news channel different from the rest? Speed it is. So if you give people what they already know, then you may just sit at home. Bloggers are news reporters too in a way. You give breaking news like “omg! Paris Hilton repeats her dress twice this month!” or “Sephora is coming to India!” But what the hell, this is my blog. My rules. If my skin loves something, then it needs to be up here on the blog no matter what!

It Claims: Enriched with Grape, Mulberry, Saxifraga extracts and Milk enzymes that are known fairness agents An advanced formula that blends the nourishing goodness of oil and hydrating properties of water It also contains sunscreens to protect the skin from harmful UVA&UVB rays that can darken the skin.

I say it “i love you” every morning when I wake up ans see there is no zit. It may sound crazy to you but for someone who has a skin with its own mind and mood swings which c an put even a pendulum to shame, its an achievement. To moisturise or not to moisturise was a debate I would do a lot of times with myself. Too much moisturise and you have an acne blooming in its full glory when you get up, too less and why bother. So this is what my skin wants
needs.
It has got spf in it so I prefer using it during the day. The spf is not much so I usually wear my favourite sunscreen over it. It has this thin lotion like runny consistensy so it spreads very easily. A pump and a half is enough to cover your entire face and with this usage, you can expect it to last for some 2-3 months. It sinks in instantly without any shine (thumbs up). Although the lightening claims did stop me initially from getting it since I’m somehow not comfortable with products that scream ‘lightens and whitens’ because of all the harmful ingredients. But the brightening claims are indeed somewhat true. There was not a magical change (obviously) but it does hydrate and moisturise well which obviously in turn make you look flawless and bright. Healthy well moisturised skin is bright skin, right?) So all you oily, combination girls who struggle to find a decent moisturiser, then you need to try this. And I think it will suit the dry skinned beauties too. But in these winters, you definitely need something extra. Although I use a heavier moisturiser during the night, so I can generally pass with this the following morning.

Price: Rs. 225 for 40ml ($5)

So is it for you? I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a light everyday moisturiser which hydrates and does what it is supposed to do without breaking you out. The spf is always a bonus. I’m on my second bottle!
