Lotus Herbals Colour Dew Nail Enamel in Plum Delight (No. 87)
By Contributor: Adi S
Today’s post features a lovely deep purple nail polish from Lotus Herbals’ Colour Dew Nail Enamel Range. The shade is called Plum Delight. The nail polish comes in a circular slender bottle with a very classy long tapering silver cap. It’s a refreshing change from the other nail polish bottles. However with use the silver plating on the cap tends to peel off from some places and it doesn’t look so pretty. Oh well.
Colour and coats to opacity: Although the instructions at the back of the bottle say that you should apply two coats, the photos below show a single coat of the nail polish and as you can see, it is enough to reach opacity. The result is a beyond-gorgeous shade of purple. It is so dark that it could be mistaken for black from some angles. I usually avoid taking pictures with flash because it messes up the true colour but I had to for this polish- it was looking black in all the photos!
Also, I think this would serve as an excellent base colour for a glittery top coat or nail art.
The brush is one of the best brushes I have used in a nail polish. It is a flat brush and very easy to use. However, a word of caution: after dipping the brush in the bottle, you should wipe the excess from the top part of the brush (I don’t know what to call it… the stem maybe? :P) or else it’ll drip.
The formula of the polish is neither too thick nor too runny. Thanks to the wonderful brush and the formula, it applies very easily. The finish is really smooth and lustrous (I haven’t used a top coat in these photos!)
To sum it all up, here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
Despite being such a dark colour, it does not stain my nails.
It contains neither toluene nor DBP
Application is glossy and non-streaky
Does not chip for atleast 2-3 days
Cons:
It takes a little time to dry. Not a big con though.
Let’s look at the photos and swatches:
With Flash
Price: Rs 110
Other pretty shades in this range: Peach Perfect, Pink Lustre, Fairy Flare, Go Grapes, Lavender Love
Rating: 4.5/5
Conclusion: Lotus Herbals Colour Dew Nail Enamels are worth the money and the colour Plum Delight is very beautiful. It isn’t a summer colour as such, but it looks very pretty on the nails. Definitely worth purchasing!
Editor: It is one of those cheat shades you can wear on your tanned hands to make them appear brighter!

Today, with the fast life-style that everyone leads, credit cards have a big demand in the economy. Persons coming from every area are using credit card and people who aren’t using the card have made arrangements to apply for one. Thanks for spreading your ideas about credit cards.
Hello there! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thanks!
