L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss Juliette and Bella: Review, Swatches and FOTD

L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Color Bella and Juliette Review

The other day I was wearing a very matte lipstick while on a tour to the President House (you guys should go too..the halls look very royal) and was horrified when I saw myself in a mirror after a few hours. What I saw was a sunburned girl with oil oozing out from every pore wearing a gooey and melted pink lipstick. It was supposed to be very matte! From that day onwards I stopped wearing lipsticks (or any makeup infact) because there is just no point. But ever since I got these Shine Caresse lip stains cum lip glosses from L’Oreal

, I’m all praises and wearing them every single day. I think I’ve found my summer staple. Let’s start with the reviews and swatches and see why these have been making waves in the beauty blogging community.

L’Oreal Claims: The next generation lip colour, that combines the texture & shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain. Delivering a lasting colour with a subtle glossy shine. The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6hr hydration. Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

Shades available: Lolita, Romy, Marilyn, Juliette, Eve, Milady, Bonnie

L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Glosses

Bella is a warm peachy pink shade. Its one of those shades which instantly brighten up your face even when you are without any makeup. Honestly I didn’t get the deal about this shade until I tried it out myself. In swatches it looks like an ordinary sheer peach lip gloss but no! It deepens on your lips after a few minutes and what you get is a very natural and healthy lip gloss. I’ve been wearing it everyday ever since I got it and its quite surprising to me as well because I don’t wear lipglosses often but this one is a must have. I mostly wear it without any makeup and instantly lifts me up. When worn with makeup, it just pulls the whole look together.

Juliette is an orangey red shade. One of the most pigmented shades from this range. Wear it with just a winged liner and it works like a charm in summers when you don’t want a full blown red lip but something fresh and vibrant. Suits warm Indian skin tones really well.

Can I just say that the texture is amazing! Forget thick sticky lip glosses, these are like a fluid with almost water like consistensy. They infacts look watery wet on lips too. And still manage to stay as long as my long staying lipsticks. I’ve worn them for 5-6 hours easily with meals. And they don’t transfer much so you still have the fresh wet look on your lips after a full meal. These are so light weight and non sticky that you don’t feel them on lips. Overall I’m in love with the texture.

Isn’t the packaging really classy and beautiful. And the petal shaped wand makes application super easy.

Juliette applies a little unevenlty and since its a bright shade so its noticeable. So you need to properly even it out before going out. Bella on the other hand is a dream to apply and you can wear it with your eyes closed. Some of the lighter shades from this range are very sheer and thus don’t cover pigmented lips. These have a minty fragrance which I personally like. If I’ve to think really hard then I think I would have liked them as matte stains more without the wet look since I’m more into matte formulas. Just the stained lip without any hint of a lipgloss is what I love.
