L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Rose Mademoiselle Review
By Contributor: Agnirupa
A very advanced happy holi to you all. Thinking its far away still? Well anyways we bloggers dabble with different colors all year round so holi is and should be of more importance than we actually give it. Plus I love spring which signifies a new and varied bouquet of colors. L’oreal chose the perfect time to come up with its brand new glossy lipstick range- the rouge caresse range from which I picked up a couple of shades (as if my lipstick bag was already not fat). Today’s review and swatches are all about a demure pink with an even more demure name- Rose Mademoiselle!
L’Oreal Claims: Don’t just stroke your lips, Caresse them. Lips say yes to this Caresse. A flutter of kissably soft light-weight feeling colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. A
1. Weightless sensation.
2. Luminous and Fresh colour
3. Meltingly soft application.
4. Pop of colour
5. Flutter on your lips
6. New sensation
7. Feather light feel
My Review:
The rouge caresse range of lipsticks are packaged in a way quite similar to their infallible range, a sturdy transparent plastic tube bearing name labels with color-coded ends. The opposite end is a mirrored end for ease of touch ups (the beauty of which is a bit lessened due to its bright pink color)
The texture is lovely and buttery smooth without being greasy, heavy or sticky and glides easily and smoothly on the driest of dry lips. Totally my kinda texture. It glosses over dry patches and fine lines of lips resulting in a healthy pout.
The color Rose Mademoiselle brought to my mind a flutter of a rosy pink but when I applied it I was a tad disappointed to find it a light rose pink with silvery shimmer leaning on the paler side of the spectrum and not being the color most of us can pull off.
The color payoff is sheer-semi sheer and can be built up to a couple of notches but if you are a lady who hearts opaque color payoff then this certainly is not for you!
Swatches in natural light
The staying power is just average, a couple of hours due to its glossy transferable nature but its ok. It hydrates my lips pretty well and does not dry them out after wearing away!
There is a slight fruity smell on application but it dissipates very quickly!

The pros of L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Rose Mademoiselle:
- Sturdy convenient color coded packaging
- Awesome buttery glossy texture which feels luxurious on lips ad not at all heavy/greasy!
- Smoothes out fine lines/dry patches
- Hydrates lips very well
- The color is a pale rosy pink with silvery shimmer- will look very pretty on pale complexioned ladies
The cons of L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Rose Mademoiselle:
- Color payoff is too sheer!
- Staying power is a downer!

Do I recommend? L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick Rose Mademoiselle is a pale pink with shimmer. Ladies like me who love a new launch and experimenting of course do order and try out a couple of shades. Hehe I know the pleasure lies in buying and trying. But do swatch them at a counter before buying blindly because the shades do not come out the way they are supposed to! Otherwise excellent texture, hydrating smooth feel and easy to apply and touch up!
