L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream Anti Dullness Review and Swatches
By Contributor: Shilpa Madan
Being a strong proponent of the elusive no-makeup or nude look, am forever in search of products that would make my skin glow, not made-up but just a happy, healthy, positive, dewy glow…you know what I mean? So when I saw this L’Oreal Nude Magique CC cream promising the perfect nude looking skin, it was impossible to resist. Of the 3 benefit variants available,
Anti-fatigue
Anti-redness
Anti-dullness
I picked up the purple or the anti-dullness variant (forever in the search of that glowing complexion!) Before I begin with the review and swatches, let’s see what L’Oreal says about the product.
L’Oreal Claims: Discover our new make-up sensation that helps recreate the texture and glow of perfect nude looking skin. New Nude Magique CC Cream is the ultimate all-in-one colour correcting beautifier with all the benefits off a BB Cream plus colour correcting properties.
My Review:
The packaging is thin nozzle tube with a purple metallic finish cap, super convenient to say the least. Perfect for controlling the amount of product and hygienic as well. The texture is light and very runny, a dream to spread and blend. (I hate BB creams that are so dense they tug at my facial skin!). Since CC creams have color correcting properties, I guess it makes sense for them to be colorful as well – gives the user the feeling that its working. This one is in a delicate lavender color shade that adapts to your complexion once applied.
Difficult to classify it as either oily nor matte – its somewhere in the middle, should work with most skin types. Definitely counters dull complexi on and makes my face look radiant (but not in a made-up way!)
Since the coverage is quite sheer, its best for people with well behaved skins or can be worn under make up as a good base. I have also read some good stuff about their anti-redness variant on the beauty blogs – but I am not sure if that is a need in India, per se.
Swatches of the CC cream in natural light
What Works about L’oreal Nude Magique CC Cream :
Glides well
Adapts to your complexion
Sheer and light coverage
Color correction
Smoothens, adds a subtle glow
Lasts 5-6 hours
People with good skin can happily get away with it
Have read some good reviews about the anti-redness variant on the blogosphere
What May Not Work about L’oreal Nude Magique CC Cream:
Given the average price of drugstore BB/CC Creams in India, this is definitely expensive
Not available in India yet (to the best of my knowledge)
Only 1 shade – one size doesn’t fit all – even if the coverage is sheer!
Being a CC cream, coverage is quite light and sheer
Price: approx. Rs.1000
VNA Rating: 4/5
Will I repurchase? I have my eyes on the Clinique or Biotherm CC Creams next
So, is it for you? L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream Anti Dullness giveslight, sheer coverage for those blessed with reasonably good skin. Effortless to apply, it adapts to your complexion and evens out and brightens skin tone – for a near perfect nude look! Won’t please you at all if you are looking for heavy duty coverage (CC creams are not the best product then)

Was anxious to buy it until I learnt its availability in India :(
When launched in India, the same products are much lower priced especially by drugstore brands like L’Oreal, Maybelline and Garnier. The Garnier BB cream that’s INR 99 is SGD 19 (INR 950) in Singapore! Same for L’Oreal color tattoo eye shadows, they are INR 350 but SGD 19 (INR 950) elsewhere. So if this ever gets launched in India, I’m sure it will be priced much more competitively!
Hi, I found a similar one in Zurich and the price is 9.99 euros which is 780 rupees. Its much lesser and the color is green inside and blends very well with no irritation. India is always known to rip off people. What margin are they making with charging it this high?

CC creams come out white? Interesting!
Hi Supria, it’s a pale lavender actually. The other variants are light green and delicate orange, respectively.

I loved the kind of coverage it gave.. but I think Rs.1000 is way too much for a cc cream
wow, this one looks interesting! the lavender tint can be a boon for so many of us with dull skin.. nice review girl! <3

Thanks Tanmayee :) It was an affordable 12.50 Euros when I bought it…but the tanking rupee makes it seem even more expensive!

This seems nice but then the very sheer coverage is putting me off a bit..
