You remember me? YES? NO? YES? NO? Majority NOOO! Okay fine, remember me hereafter. Well I am already excited to be back to VNA after many months! When Lakme introduced their absolute range once upon a time , though I was excited, but still seriously thought they were overpriced and not to forget that WHITE INTENSE tag.. grrrrrrr. But somehow I was bowled over by the classy metallic packaging and bought the entire base makeup range. Well lakme has done justice to this and it quite faired well. Lets move on to the review and swatches of the stick concealer.
Lakme Claims: Easy to handle, hassle free and absolutely non-messy, Lakme’s ABSOLUTE White Intense Concealer Stick is the perfect device to camouflage blemishes, dark circles and signs of fatigue. SPF 20 works as the ideal sunshade and vitamin B3 works on granting a younger and fairer looking skin.
SHADE: Light – Medium
My Review:
This concealer comes in the form of a lipstick bullet with a plastic cap (which broke long back ago!). However the packaging is very convenient to use on both under eyes and spots. It smells good, some sort of pleasant fragrance while the other absolute ones had a strong citrusy smell.
One great disappointment about the concealer is that it is available only in two shades Light-Medium and Medium-Dark. But thankfully they have enough yellow undertones and somehow doesn’t look ashy even if the shade is lighter. I chose light-medium, which is actually lighter on my medium skintone. But due to the strong yellow tones it adapts to the skintone after a while.
It also contains SPF20 which is an added bonus. The concealer being in a stick form is actually dry. You need to warm up the product with your fingers and then apply. If directly applied from the tube it makes the blending part tricky. It definitely dries up my under eye region if an eye cream is not used beneath. Even oily skinned girls need to moisturize before hand. It needs to be set with a powder or else stats creasing badly.
The staying power is almost about 6-7 hrs and after which I noticed that it fades. The coverage is sheer-medium . It doesn’t give full coverage and layering up would make it so cakey. Being a sheer product this makes a great everyday wear concealer and so not for those who wants to hide those owl circles! This works as an eyeshadow base too. But the creasing part has to be taken care of.
Pros of Lakme Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick:
Cons of Lakme Absolute Concealer Light Medium:
Price: Rs.450
VNA Rating: 4/5
Overall Verdict: So lakme white intense concealer is for those who wants their under eye are to be matte and also prefer sheer-medium coverage. Best suited for oily skinned ones. Though it is not that great , it is not bad either.
