OMG! OMG! They have finally launched and I am a proud owner of two of them from the total collection of 15 shades. I have picked the most gorgeous two shades from the entire range though the range comes with so many tempting colors. Once upon a time Lakme used to come with only brown, maroon and meh shades. But Lakme, we all truly love your evolution with time. I am going to review and swatch a beautiful warm red shade from the just launched Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-definition Matte lipstick range. I can’t event wait to share this with you guys. Today I am reviewing the shade Red Rush and stay tuned for another lipstick shade Pink Glam.

My Review:

I am literally thinking from where I should start. Well first I am going to tell you about the packaging. It comes in a steel black packaging same as the absolute gloss addict range. The cap of sculpt matte is very convenient and the packaging is very classy. I love to see it in my hand. LOL! It gives me a premium feel! The top portion of the cap is transparent and you can see the color of the bullet through it. There is also a new thing. The lipstick bullet opens and shuts with a click when you twist the cap. The lipstick tube of lakme sculpt matte is further secured in a sleek glossy paper box.

Now obviously I would tell you about the shade as it is the heart of the lipstick. Oh God!! I just flaunted this shade out. As a red lip lover I have so many red lipsticks but this shade from lakme studio sculpt has just stolen my heart. Lakme Red Rush is the perfect blend of red and orange. But the orange is not over the top. It doesnt have pink or blue undertones. This red lipstick can perk up your face instantly.

The texture of the studio sculpt lipstick is very silky and velvety. The 9 to 5 creaseless cream lipsticks were thick but this hi definition one is very very light on the lips. It doesn’t lack on pigmentation. It gives full color pay off in two swipes and glides easily on lips without any tugging. This doesn’t need any kind of dabbing by a tissue to hide the sheen as it is matte without making the lips dry. Though you have to prepare your lips before application to avoid any flakiness as every matte lipsticks need that.

Sculpt matte lipstick gives a fuller effect on my pout and I must say that it looks quite nice. If you know what I mean. It stays on my lips for about 6-7 hours without meals. But it can survive light meals and snacks. But if you have heavy meals wearing it, the color will start fading from the inner rim.
