Lakme Absolute Pop Tints Lip Tint Candy Kiss Review and Swatches
By Contributor: Riddhi Damani
Anshita had asked not to start the post with hello ladies or good morning or things like that…but as it is my 1st post on VNA, I wanted to say a big Hi to all you pretty girls out there!
Light, sheer and glossy as the lipglosses are, they can get too sticky sometimes. That’s when the knight in shining armour comes to our rescue – Lip pop tints. Crayon like lip pop tints are the new trend these days and all the major br ands like Lakme, Revlon, Colorbar, Bourjois, Clinique, MUA have launched their versions. I have tried the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain earlier and now the Lakme Absolute Pop Tint. I am not too fond of the Revlon lip crayon. While Lee is on a high-flamed affair with Inglot Round Lipstick Refill shade 02
, this cute little sticx has stolen my heart away (although it has a very tough competition as I am in love with many other lipsticks these days , but still it has managed to capture my attention).
So getting back to the point, the Lakme Lip Pop tints come in 8 different shades: Plum rush, Berry Pink, Pink sorbet, Orange tease, Peach please, Grape hint, Wine punch and Candy kiss. I find Candy kiss the most beautiful of them all, which I will review today.
Shade: Candy kiss is a pretty coral-pink sort of a shade. It has a very summery feel about it. It looks very orangey in the tube, but it looks pink coral on my lips.
Packaging: It comes in a black twist-up crayon stick with the name written on the bottom and a transparent cap. For me, it’s not too cute and not too classy kind of packaging.
What I feel about the product: it is very soft and light and glides very smoothly on the lips. It has a sheer creamy texture to and not at all shimmery like its other shades like Peach please and Orange tease. It is not very pigmented and stays for about 3 to 4 hours and after that it leaves behind a faint stain on my lips, making them look naturally pink and beautiful. But for the high price, it should have stayed longer. It is very moisturizing which is a plus point.
Fragrance: It has a sweet fruity smell; unlike the minty smell of Revlon stain which I don’t like.
Here are both my lip tints together: Lakme Pop Tint and Revlon Balm Stain
The good things about Lakme Pop Tints:
Its very moisturizing.
The colour is a beautiful orange which looks coral on my lips.
I like the sweet smell.
Not shimmery so can be worn during the day too.
Soft sheer texture and feels light and comfortable on the lips.
Does not settle into lip lines.
Leaves behind a faint beautiful colour on the lips.
The Bad things about Lakme Pop Tints:
Its on the expensive side.
It stays only for 3-4 hours
Price: Rs. 800 ( I got it for 700 after some discount online)
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Overall verdict– Lakme Absolute Pop Tint makes my lips look healthy and natural. The shade Candy Kiss is my favourite which is a pretty orange colour. But I would also like to try pink sorbet and berry pink. I would buy it again just to get that soft and smooth feeling and lovely colour on my lips. These are limited edition so get them soon!

The price of these have been a deal breaker for me. One doesn’t mind shelling out even more for Clinique but 800/- for a Lakme Pop tint?? I don’t think so..

Good day! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog article or vice-versa? My website discusses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you happen to be interested feel free to send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Great blog by the way!
When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!
