Kerastase Initialiste & Toni and Guy Hair Spa Experience

How do you feel when your rubber keeps on slipping from your hair? Oh yes very annoyed..NOT. This whole week I’ve been wearing very tight rubber bands because the ordinary ones won’t just stay put. Oh yes I’m complaining. Y U behaving so gud hair? Someone in the train even asked me if I’ve washed them with a wine! Umm…I gotta buy some wine for my hair next time. So I was invited by the Kerastase team to come and try the newly launched Kerastase Initialiste at the Toni and Guy Salon in GK2, Delhi. I went there last week and here is my whole review or say experience on the whole thing.

Btw thats my hair before the treatment. The Toni and Guy salon was madly crowded! Thankfully they had a separate Kerastase lounge on the upper floor which was quite and relaxing. For the first 30mins I had the whole lounge to myself before 2 more girls came. The stylist Sujata who attended me was very nice. Although I was just there for a quick Initialiste treatment, she went the whole route. I insisted she didn’t really need to do it but well I how can a girl say no to hair spa?

Step 1: Scalp check. They have this gadget which checks your scalp and roots and then they recommend you treatments based on your hair results. For a minute I felt like I was back in school waiting for my results. And voila I passed with flying colours! My hair scalp and roots are healthy so I didn’t need anything heavy duty. But she did say my hair tips needed nourishment..oh well.

Step 2: Shampoo. She used Kerastase Elixir K Ultime Sublime Cleansing Oil Shampoo on my hair which took out all the oil and deep cleansed my hair.

Step 3: After the shampoo was done it was time for hair conditioning. She used Kerastase Elixir Ultime Beautifying Oil Masque on my hair. It was kept on for some 5-6 minutes.

Step 5: After the conditioning, it was time for some steam treatment.

My hair was kept secure in the machine for about 12-15minutes.

Step 6: After that it was time to shampoo again!

Step 7: After that I think the Kerastase Nutritive serum was used on my hair from mid to tips. That made them ready for the styling.

Step 8: And lastly the Kerastase Initialiste Scalp and Hair Concentrate was used on the roots. Its like a dropper like thing. You use a few drops on the roots and lightly massage your hair.

This is the whole Kerastase hair spa ritual that took around 2hours.

Then I was given a blow dry at a very light setting. They recommend not using any heat treatment on hair for 5-6 days after hair spa

And that’s my new hair!!

For the first time after getting those colourful extensions on my hair, I could really see the colour come out.

Btw Sujata and I got chit chatting during the spa treatment. We shared a lot of “gyaan” over the couple of hours. She almost fainted when I told her I usually wash my hair once in 5-6 days! I’m super lazy! She also told me to use onion juice on my hair to keep the hair fall in check. Well..let me try that and I will let you know if that works! Btw my mom and she bonded quite well over home remedies!

 And that’s me! Yup I know you are sick of seeing those mint jeans again and again..but they are so comfy I can’t help it!

I had my friend’s wedding the very next day. So I had a very sound sleep. All I did was make a pouf and vrooooom I was ready for the party!
