Why suddenly a lehenga here? Well my best friend is getting married in September (in just 2 months!) and I’m freaking out. She still has got no clue about her wedding lehenga. And neither do I! So these days I’m spending a lot of time on Pinterest crazily searching for anything bridal. She is a sikh so her’s would be a day wedding and most probably I will wear an anarkali (for the first time in my life EVER!). I don’t want to be an attention seeker in a saree…..well you know the deal with sarees and sikhs, don’t you? Well they don’t wear sarees and stick to salwaar kameez (for the rituals) and lehengas for the functions.
The other day I was asking her how is the preparation going:
Her: Well let’s see I already have got 8 suits ready. The other 3-4 I want to buy near the wedding so that they are latest.
Me: Why only suits? No sarees kya?
Her: errr…saree?
Me: *facepalm*
I’m preparing a list of lehengas we can replicate. The first lehenga we have on our list is this gorgeous pink and orange multi-coloured embellished lehenga with heavy gota pati work on the border and sheer net orange dupatta. This is a Payal Kumar lehenga featured during a Lakme Fashion Week. This is such a pretty lehenga for pre-wedding functions like Sangeet, Mehendi, Haldi, etc. Who likes to wear boring colours when you can wear neon and look like a rainbow!
The combination of the vibrant colors is making this piece more stunning & a must-have for this upcoming wedding season. I cannot miss to amaze my sister with such beautiful designer lehengas as she is very fond of such stylish ethnic dresses.
