Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask: Review, How to Use

Review, How to Use, Price, Buy Online Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

By Contributor: Moupee

Using facial masks is a part of my weekly skin care routine. I make it a point to use masks at least thrice a week and of various mask varieties available in the market, clay mask is something that I am really fond of. The reason is the soothing cool feel of the clay as well as a feel of wearing something very close to Mother Nature. Of late I came across the revolutionary korean clay mask

called Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. I tried it and I must say it’s a real wonderful product.  After all the benefits I got from this product, I feel it is my responsibility to review it and share my experience with you guys. So here comes my review of the face pack and how to use it.

Wearing a clay mask on my face leaves a cooling and healing impact on my tired skin rampaged by day-to-day pollution. I am an architect by profession. My work involves considerable exposure to dirt, dust, debris, soot. So you can well imagine the enormous volume of pollutants to which my skin is exposed day-in and day-out. Cautious skin care could only save my poor skin pores. So I never dare to neglect it. I am always on the look-out for what best can be given to my skin; what all new promising products are arriving into the market.

Innisfree Claims: The product as the brand claims is powered with Volcanic Scoria that helps in effective sebum control, tightening of skin pores. It also contains AHA that exfoliates skin effectively to knock out dead cells and give you a brighter skin tone. The clay in it leaves a refreshing cooling effect and brings about deep cleansing

Also available: Jeju volcanic pore clay mask, Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Toner, Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam, Jeju volcanic pore scrub foam

My Review of Innisfree Pore Clay Mask:

Packaging: The mask is packed in a stylish, travel-friendly recycled paper hard box in brown. The container within is in the form of a sleek rounded tub also in brown and with a coppery screw on lid

Price: Rs.1150/100ml

The packaging, I must say is smart and user-friendly one. And the mask as I opened the cap looked the perfect thick black clay, the volcanic clay I mean. So again I was impressed and had high hopes regarding its potency. The volcanic mask when applied on skin dries up within nearly 5 minutes. When the mask is on, your skin would feel a bit stretchy but worry not, as that is the general trait of any clay mask. The fragrance it has is pleasing enough; a unique admixture of herbs-like and floral aroma. With the use of the mask, I have noticed significant lessening of sebum product. The day I use it, my otherwise too oily skin will not feel greasy, sticky and embarrassing oily all day long. Also the open pores closer to my nose area seem to reduce in size immediately post usage. However in order to experience the same impact next day, I have to repeat usage.

How to Use the Super Volcanic Clay Mask:

  • It has a damn thick, almost solidified consistency and texture. Therefore don’t expect that it will be the typical flowy type or cream-like. In fact to use it you would actually have to scoop the clay out with a spoon. I too do the same; then pour few drops of plain water or rose water into it only after which I can generously apply it on my face.
  • Or you can use it as a spot treatment as it is on your acne or problem areas.

Effects on oily acne prone skin:

As soon as I feel a pimple building up, I dab the innisfree mask all over my face and the pimple never comes! When I have surprise acne or zits, I quickly apply it and they dry up and vanish!

Pros of Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask:

  • Great sebum controller
  • Packaging is travel-friendly
  • The aroma is pleasant and doesn’t trouble your nose
  • Skin pores reduce in size post usage
  • Controls acne
  • Dries up acne pretty fast

Cons of Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask:

  • Not suitable for dry skinned people
  • It’s very thick; so might have trouble scooping it out

Price in India: Rs.1150 for 100ml

VNA Rating: 4.5/5

Final Verdict: Overall my experience with the product was great. It has been almost a month that I am using it and would definitely like to continue. Thus my vote will always go with Innisfree volcanic pore clay mask. Ananya mentioned it in the top clay masks ever post. Our blogger-in-chief Anshita also swears by it so you can say it pretty much has the VNA stamp of approval.
