Are you a RED LIPSTICK lover? Are you a MATTE lover? If yes, then firstly, same pinch and secondly, this is exactly the post for you. I never experimented with red lipsticks, I always thought its more of a mature colour until I came across MAC Ruby Woo and Inglot 408 lipstick which I will review and swatch today. Now, there is no turning back. This red

particularly would suit the Indian skin tones a lot since its cool toned. Not many brands offer such a pretty red that too in a matte texture so yes its bound to generate my interest.

 

Now, comes the exciting part, the lipstick itself. This red reminds me a lot of ruby woo. This is obviously a blue toned red with slight yellow undertones, on my lips it does look that way and it doesn’t make my teeth look yellow either. Its highly pigmented but is quiet drying on my lips. . This would best suit girls with light to medium Indian skin tones. This is a red you should definitely have in your stash especially matte lovers.

When it comes to staying power, you a definite win- win situation, you cant just take it off using a tissue, you do need a make up remover to remove it. It will stay even after your meals. But it can be a bit drying. Inglot mattes are known to be like retro mattes when it comes to the texture. Its a bit stiff and hard to apply so you would definitely need a lip balm with it.

Another thing that I do like is the scent, I have never come across anything like this, it smells exactly like bubblegum but it doesn’t linger around for too long. You cant even smell it when u apply. Only time I smelled was when I actually smelled the lipstick. Its a nice change than lipsticks smelling like chemicals and nothing nice.

The packaging..ooohh I love it! Its black, shiny and chic. Something that I would easily carry in my purse. One more thing that I love about the packaging is you hear a click sound when u close so you know for sure its closed. So yes, packaging scores well.
