Lipsticks are made to provide colour, texture and protection to the lips. My love for lipsticks started 2 years back as I was kind of tomboyish from childhood and would never wear colour on my face other than very light gloss and kajal, due to lack of knowledge for how to use makeup. But later after getting married I had to look girly though my husband didn’t like much of make-up, still I had to be well decorated to look newly wedded. Soon I started liking painting my face with colours after learning few make-up tutorials on youtube. Now I don’t step out of the house without wearing lipstick. In this process of trying new lip colours, one fine day I came across Inglot store in forum mall which blinded and mesmerized me with colours. In few minutes I ended up
with lipstick shade no. 100 which I will review and swatch today.
Inglot claims: Vitamin E and apricot kernel oil moisturising formula. Solid and elegant metal case. PARABEN FREE FORMULA. NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS
My Review:
It is peach pink more on coral side kind of shade. Creamy in nature which easily glides to your lips and is mostly fragrance less except if you have sensitive nose then you will smell an oily fragrance of which I am not big fan. Colour is good but I don’t find that good pigmentation because if applied on hands for a swatch it will look good but if you apply it on lips you will see small patches of colour here and there as it does not spread evenly. After few hours of applying this lipstick, it settles down in crease of my lips which in turn makes my lips look more ugly and rough. Even the colour shade is not that good for indian skin tones. I have had very bad experience with this lipstick and it is actually the worst product I ever bought.
Being an anti-waste person, I don’t like throwing away things without using them completely. I will always find new ways to recycle everything I have. And will make sure to use it to its best. So what I did with this lip stick was, I used to apply it as base coat and then apply other colour lipstick on top which brings out a new colour and looks uniformly spread and much better than the actual colour of this lipstick.
Swatches in natural light
I love Inglot Lipstick #100 because:
It is smooth and creamy
Stays longer than expected
Light weight and non-sticky
Black metal square swivel tube packaging
A bit of shimmer in it
I hate Inglot Lipstick #100 because:
Pigmentation is not good
Hate the smell
Not a good colour for Indian skin tone
Lip coverage is not good
Price: Rs. 850
VNA Rating: 2/5
Do I recommend? Inglot Lipstick 100 is a milky peach coral orange shade. No, I will not recommend to buy except if you like layering colours but there are many better colours out there at a less price than this one.
