I must admit I’m more of a lipgloss person and I barely ever wear lipsticks. The few that I’ve bought always lie unused till they expire. However, with Inglot’s lipstick refills I can atleast manage to hit the pan before they expire plus I get to experiment with many shades due to the wide variety they provide (90 to be exact).

It was love at first sight when I saw Shade 2 and I instantly bought it without even trying it at the Inglot store and I’m surely not regretting this purchase. Here is my review on it.

Shade #02 is a gorgeous and summery peachy pink color when swatched. However, on me it leans more towards coral and instantly perks up my complexion. It will suit light to to medium skin tone beautifully but might be a bit neon on dusky skin tones so they should try it at the store before buying it.    

The texture of the lipstick is creamy and glides well on the lips with a lip brush. It has a matte finish which can be drying unless you wear a lip balm underneath. It also has a tendency to settle into fine lines and accentuates the dry patches so proper exfoliation is a must. Being a matte lipstick it does not transfer which I love! Lipstick stains can be soooo embarrasing,I tell ya!

Inglot lipsticks have a beautiful flowery fragrance which does not irritate my sensitive nose and I seriously love the scent. When I had initially bought it I used to sniff the refill every now and then because I couldn’t get enough of it :p

Storage of these refills is a big issue and you need a magnetic palette for storing these. Even then I wouldn’t like carrying a palette in my handbag plus is need to carry a lip brush separately in case in need to touch it up making it a major con for me,

The Good!

•  A pretty and summery peachy pink shade that uplifts my mood and complexion.
• Creamy texture and does not tug.
• Decent staying power.
• Affordable and easily available.
• A huge variety of 90 shades to choose from
• Has a lovely sweet scent.

The Bad!

•  Can be drying and settles into fine lines
• It is not travel friendly and storage is an issue

Final Recommendation: Inglot’s Round Lipstick Shade 2 is a pretty peachy pink shade that will suit most Indian complexions and even though I’m not at all fond of the texture which can be too drying for me but the color more than makes up for it. A definite yes for me!
