Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow DS 504 Swatches Review

Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow DS 504 Square Refill Swatch and Review

By Contributor: Lee

Turquoise? Ah there’s something so mystical about this shade that I get attracted to it everywhere. Dresses, accessories, shoes, bows, nail paints. You name it I’ll want it. I’m sure if they ever made a lipstick in a turquoise blue shade I’ll be the first in line to buy it though I’ll never wear it (ok maybe once). So ever since the makeup bug bit me I’ve been buying all sorts of turquoise eyeshadows never mind how similar they might be! I’ve even bought palettes just because it had a gorgeous turquoise shade. So its only right that I start my journey on VNA by reviewing a beautiful turquoise eyeshadow by Inglot numbered DS 504.

(Editor: I’ve got a teal lipstick btw!)

Packaging: These refills come sealed in a plastic covering and once opened you cannot store them in it. I used to store them in the black cardboard box they are packaged in until I made a magnetic palette. Storage of these refills is a big issue unless you have a magnetic palette making them unsafe for travel.

Shade DS 504: Inglot has a variety of finishes and DS stands for Double Shimmer i.e a semi matte eyeshadow with subtle shimmer. DS 504 is a gorgeous turquoise eyeshadow with minute silver shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle and does not show up on the eyes as much as it does in the pan. It’s a great party shade and looks amazing when used for a smokey look.

Texture & Pigmentation: The eye shadow has a soft and smooth texture and is not at all dry or gritty. It does not fall out even though it contains shimmers. Due to its smooth texture it blends effortlessly. It is well pigmented and 2 swipes give the true color. It is a lot more vibrant with a primer or an eyeshadow base underneath.

Staying Power: Like most Inglot eyeshadows this too is long staying and stays put for 4-5 hours(without a primer) after which it stars creasing. With a primer or an e/s base underneath it lasts forever, making it perfect for party wear where you need to wear it for longer duration.

Inglot refills are a great option for eyeshadow lovers. They are affordable and easily available in Inglot stores and online. However, I strongly recommend buying a magnetic palette or better yet making you own magnetic palette(a lot cheaper) for storing these.

The Good:

  • A gorgeous turquoise eyeshadow with silver shimmer.
  • Soft & smooth texture.
  • Does not fall out.
  • Well Pigmented.
  • Good staying power.
  • Affordable

The bad:

  •  Storage of these refills is a bit of an issue. You need a magnetic palette for that.

Price: Rs.300

VNA Rating: 4.5/5

Final Recommendation: Inglot eyeshadow DS 504 is a beautiful turquoise shade with silver shimmer. It has a smooth texture, is well pigmented and long lasting. I will certainly recommend it!

Editor: Inglot cosmetics are on flat 30% off on Majorbrands.in. I don’t see these freedom system refill eyeshadows on sale right now but they might be added later. So keep a look!

  2. This looks like a dupe for MAC Aquadisiac, which gives me so much trouble in terms of application. Definitely should look into this one when my MAC runs out… great review.

    • Actually MAC Aquadisiac leans more towards aqua blue and has a very frosty finish while this is a true turq shade with slight shimmers :)
