You are trying your favorite neon matte lipstick and just when you thought your sexy bright pout will gather all the attention, you have flaking skin on your lips attracting all the second glances stares. Ewww not so cool, right? Madam all you need is a lip scrub. I was going for the famous Lush Bubblegum lip scrub but why waste so much money on something you can very easily dupe at home. And use that money to get another neon lipstick!
You will need:
- a potted lip balm (or an empty pot and a lip balm)
- sugar
- honey
- olive oil
STEP 1: Take some lip balm and out it in an empty pot. You can use Vaseline too. I’m taking a lip balm which I seldom use.
STEP 2: Put some sugar in the tub. Make sure the sugar cubes are neither too big nor too small. If they are too big then just grind them a little. Add 5-6 drops of honey and 2-3 drops of olive oil.
STEP 3: Mix everything…..and your lip scrub is ready!
Here are the Lush Lip scrubs. You can add vanilla, chocolate or bubblegum flavors if you like but I prefer mine without any flavoring.
