Pimples and I have lived together for so long that now, they seem like my committed partners! Though I am unable to get rid of pimples completely, there are some occasions when I really need to make myself look presentable. But often I end up having painful acne eruptions or a face full of pimples, a day before the occasions. Now I had to do a performance in the foundation day of our college and just a day before, I noticed some painful pimples trying to appear on my face. I broke out with fear and kept on applying ice on the pimples hoping to calm them down. Seeing me upset, my mom reminded me of the ad of Garnier Pimple Control Pen which I will review today.

As it was already late evening, I begged my brother to rush to a near by store. Generally, he acts very busy whenever I ask him to do something but seeing the gravity of the situation, my brother avoided his drama and bought me the pimple pen asap. Now since I have got to try Garnier Skin Naturals Pimple Control Pen, I will review and swatch it today. Let’s see if it does whatever it claims to do.

Garnier Claims: Garnier Pure Pimple Control Pen has been specifically designed to help dry pimples so that skin appears clearer quickly. It comes in a convenient small tube that you can carry around wherever you go. Its invisible gel formula immediately targets the pimple, and its ingredients diffuse rapidly for a complete action. It is enriched with : Vitamin B3 + Salicylic acid + Eucalyptus and Menthol. Garnier Pure Pimple Control Pen purifies, soothes and refreshes the skin. It has a drying effect on the appearance of pimples, with visible results in only 5 hours.

How to use it? Apply Garnier Pure Pimple Control Pen directly on the pimples as soon as they appear. Repeat application until the pimple has disappeared. Its special nozzle has been designed for a direct and precise application.

My Review:

Garnier Pimple Control Pen comes in a small blue colored plastic tube with a white plastic, screw cap. The nozzle of the tube is small and the pack claims that it is for ‘targeted action’. The tube is very convenient to carry along wherever we go. Over all, the packaging looks okay.

On squeezing the tube a bit, at first, a foul smell hits my nose. And then a miniscule amount of the product comes out. The Pimple Control Pen has got gel like consistency and is transparent. It looks like water and it feels like water on skin, except the foul smell that made me sneeze a few times when using it for the first time. I had an emergency pimple issue when I bought this Pimple Control Pen.

As the product claims to show visible effect in five hours, I followed the directions religiously and applied it to the eruptions. After five hours, I checked my pimples to see if there is any difference. The redness of the pimples seemed to vanish a bit but the pain of the pimples did not go away. I prayed to God, cleansed my face and re applied the product hoping to see some miracle by the next morning. I saw some dryness in the pimples in the morning but the bumps were still pretty noticeable and eye-catching. Then I realized that though Garnier Skin Naturals Pen claims to show visible difference in five hours, it is not-a-saviour-in-emergencies. It definitely works but not that fast, it needs 3-4 days to soothe and calm down the pimples properly. But obviously, it is not an overnight solution as I expected it to be. ::shy::

After using Garnier Pimple Pen for 2-3 days more, my pimples dried and reduced near to no existence. BUT, the dried pimples looked very ugly and also formed and left behind brown marks. I do not think the sunlight could have done that as I always wear broad spectrum sunscreen before stepping outside. I needed to work a lot to fade the brown color of the pimples. As of now, I am not buying the Pimple Control Pen again. I hope to find good emergency solutions soon.

  5. Howdy! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Thanks
