Filmfare Awards 2012: Best Dressed and Worst Dressed

So the most coveted of the Bollywood Awards night finally aired last night. It would be so better if they just telecast all that live without the K-serial type editing. Any of you liked the SRK- Ranbir drag act? It was plain ridiculous. But let’s just concentrate on the glamour element for now. Well the best dressed were usually the best dressed and worst dressed were usually the worst dressed…umm..okay here goes nothing!

dia mirza filmfare awards 2012 dress

Dia Mirza: She stole the show in her retro avatar. The black and gold border Anamika Khanna saaree and the checkered black blouse does the trick. love it.

priyanka chopra filmfare awards 2012 dress

priyanka chopra fashion

Priyanka Chopra: She is making the blue Ferragamo gown work for her. I especially like the rope detailing. Just wish she would change that bloody lipstick colour!

deepika padukone filmfare awards 2012

Deepika Padukone: Pastels do we see? Kudos to Deepika for wearing such understated colours to the award night and yet manage to look Filmfare appropriate. The saree is Anamika Khanna I guess.

kareena kapoor filmfare awards 2012

Kareena Kapoor: The neutral Manish Malhotra saree with all nude makeup does make Kareena look fresh and radiant. But Kareena darling all those 100 surya namaskars are doing nothing for that big fat tummy of yours.

karishma kapur filmfare 2012 awards

Karishma Kapur: Not a big fan of the bare shoulder white saree with red border. Nothing impressive. But nothing bad either.

asin filmfare 2012 awards

Asin: Still in two minds about the red and white Stella McCartney gown. The dress is no doubt gorgeous but looks flat on Asin. Opinions?

asin coral dress fashion

This is her Filmfare nominations dress so thought would mention here. Its coral. The makeup is peachy coral, so ofcourse had to mention! And that tribal necklace is a stunner. Love the whole look!

bipasha basu filmfare awards

Bipasha Basu: The sexy bong going the goddess route? Well what would you say if I say the only thing I like is the burnt peach brown lip colour. You can do a lot better Bips.

chitrangada filmfare 2012 awards

Chitrangada Singh: The idea of a colour blocked neon gown was impressive. Come on how many colour blocked outfits have we seen on the red carpet? But THIS! Sorry Chitrangada but the gown is plain ugly.

neha dhupia filmfare 2012 awards

Neha Dhupia with her fat a**: The only saving grace is the shimmering red trail of the skirt.

raveena tondon filmfare awards 2012

Raveena Tondon: The bridal red saree does make her stand out. But red on red carpet? I will still give it to her!

sophie chaudhary parineeti chopra fimfare awards 2012

(left) Parineeti Chopra: Priyanka Chopra’s sister does have a style sense! The blingy clutch and blue shoes definitely look fab. But is it Filmfare appropriate?

(right) Sophie Chaudhary: ek pardesi mera dil le gya….. Ok confession time guys. There was a time when I thought Sophie was the most gorgeous girl ever…I was a school girl then! But misconceptions happen. Lord what has she done to herself (and the hair)?

Shazahn Padamsee Sonal Chauhan

(left) Shazahn Padamsee: The golden Namrata Joshipurada gown does look nice but whats up with that hem line? Seems like the designer forgot to finish off the gown! But a lot lot better than her Colors Screen Awards  appearance.

(right) Sonal Chauhan: Lord save us from the disaster. Halloween is long gone Sonal! You could have horrified your hair a bit more by following these tips. Okay can’t stand it anymore.

madhuri dixit filmfare awards

Madhuri Dixit: She looks age appropriate in that saree. Not a great fan of that outfit but the necklace stole my heart! And the makeup and hair do is just perfect.

kalki koechlin filmfare awards

Kalki Koechlin: Next please.

sridevi filmfare awards

Sridevi: The gown is plain ugly. Stick to your kanjivarams please.

body con dresses

Kajal Aggarwal: Going the PC way huh? Body con dresses are NOT for red carpets.

tanushree dutta filmfare awards

Tanushree Dutta: Hard to believe its a former Miss India Universe standing in the picture above. Shock laga laga shock laga….try Havels shock proof switches?

udita goswami filmfare awards

Udita Goswami: The only reason I’m putting up here is because she reminds me of a girl in my spanish class. Lame. Let’s move on please.

urmila matondkar filmfare awards

Urmila Matondkar: Umm..what’s that?

vidya balan filmfare awards

Vidya Balan: So Ms. Entertaiment Entertaiment and Entertainment, how do you manage to look same in all your public appearances? I’m bored, entertain me!

shah rukh khan vanity
A vain moment at Vanity No Apologies. lame. And btw thats SRK you see behind her. Vain SRK?

  2. Ha ha loved the post! Honestly the whole bunch looked blah to me!These ladies need style rehab! Only thing endearing is Madhuri’s style (I’ll forgive her the saree too). Sophie’s gown and neck piece look nice, but my God what’s with that strange hairdo!

  7. Hahahha!! So enjoyed the post! But well, I likes Bipasha’s makeup but really what is Urmila wearing? The perhaps she pulled out her velvet window curtains in stead of her shawl/stole while leaving in a hurry?
Chitrangada really proved how wrong things can be!
But well, Deepika, I don’t like her much these days. I am bored of her nudes and the kind of monotonous makeup, can’t point out what exactly.. makes her look very old… not dpoing justice to her beautiful face…

  11. urmila must have lost that velvety curtain. stuck to an ankle length dress and cut off the train. no wedges try platform. but the look seems to have a greek theme which is ok but these make it look horrible

  12. Amazing post darling. They are all gorgeous women and still I wonder if they even take a look in the mirror before they head out, especially for such events. anyway, to each his own.
