Fair and Lovely Winter Fairness Cream Review
By Contributor: Tanya
Here I am to write the very first review on my favorite blog VNA. Well, fair & lovely is a brand meant for fairness products in India and have been around for ages. 3-4 years back I used that pink wala fair & lovely (advanced multivitamin) but every time I used it, it made my dry skin more dry even in summers..ufff!! So I stopped using it. Now a few weeks back a friend suggested me to the Fair and Lovely Winter Fairness Cream variant as it contains moisturizer and also helps to even out skin. I was confused due to my bad experience in the past but thought to give it a try. Let’s start with the review and see how it works! Btw I am a dusky Indian girl.
Fair & Lovely Claims: For those who feel that moisturizing in winter makes skin oily and creates a barrier to beautiful fair skin, this unique formula gives you the fairness of MultiVitamin, while protecting your skin from the sun and leaves it feeling soft, supple and glowing.
How to use: Dot over face and neck and massage in. Use twice daily for the best fairness results.
My review:
The cream is pinkish white in colour and the texture is somewhere between watery and greasy. Fragrance is mild fruity that fades away in seconds. The BLUE cap of the tube indicates this is for winter!! Right now, I use Fair & Lovely after cleansing and toning in the morning and at night. Only a small amount is enough for face. I use it as directed means dotting over face and then massaging.
YYYYYYesssssss …it doesn’t dry my skin. Although it remains chip chip for some minutes but then..glowing skin!! lalalalala! Until now I am loving it. It’s just the second week and my summer tan has faded so nicely. But for fairness I DO NOT TRUST ANY PRODUCT.
What I like about Fair and Lovely Winter Fairness Cream:
- Moisturizes skin in winters
- Good for dry skin girls as well
- Evens out skin tone
- Fades tan if used regularly
- Pocket friendly
- Neither makes skin too dry nor too oily
What I don’t like about Fair and Lovely Winter Fairness Cream:
- Contains parabens
- Water based cream (water dries the skin)
Price: Rs.90 for 50g
VNA rating: 4.8/10
Will I repurchase: Yesss! I would buy it in summers also.
Conclusion: A simple cream with many benefits. Must try for everyone who wants a glow and moisturizing benefits at the same time.
