Hot and humid weather (also climate) of Assam is causing my face to produce extra tones of sebum. I am at my wit’s end wondering how to deal with it. This is a common problem: extra sebum and shine, which summer brings along with it for oily skinned girls like me. Now, that is when the compact powders come handy. But finding a compact powder capable of surviving on my face has become a difficult task for me. Just as I was thinking of splurging on some new compact or pressed powder, I got the Faces Glam On Prime Perfect Pressed Powder
Faces Claims: An ultra light, SPF-rich formula with benefits of revolutionary screen-tech technology.
Mattifies skin for a smooth finish.
Silky and velvety texture blends effortlessly.
Enriched with anti-oxidants.
Paraben free.
Non comedogenic.
Dermatalogically tested.
My Review of Faces Compact:
Faces Prime Perfect Pressed Powder comes in a sleek and chic black packaging, which is very appealing. I love it at the first instance. The simple but elegant and strong container also has the brand logo embossed in golden, which is very flattering. Even the outer carton is good looking. The pressed powder container has a strong lid and comes with an in-built mirror for touch ups and a very comfy powder puff.
The Faces Glam On pressed powder I have got is in shade Natural (02), which exactly matches my medium-dusky skin tone. I have yellow undertones and this particular shade greatly complements my skin tone. My immediate reaction after applying the Faces pressed powder for first time was, “Whoa! It feels so smooth and fine.” Yes, indeed. As claimed, this pressed powder has a very smooth and velvety texture which sits perfectly on my skin. It does not even look like I have got any powder on my face. It gives a quite natural and near to flawless look to my skin. Faces glam on prime perfect compact provides medium coverage and efficiently hides dark circles and minor blemishes.
And, as for the oil control part, it is the longest lasting pressed powder I have used till now. The pressed powder mattifies the skin pretty well and absorbs excess sebum. It stays intact for around 3 hours, after which I need a touch up. And after the touch up, the pressed powder manages to survive on my skin for 1-2 hours more. Even after multiple touch ups, the Faces powder does not give me a cakey look.
Ingredients: – Having an acne prone skin, I have always been cautious while choosing products for my skin – be it for skin care or make up. It is my habit to check the ingredients’ list for any comedogenic ingredients. Now, though Faces Glam On pressed powder claims to be non-comedogenic, i.e., safe for acne prone skin, its list of ingredients tells a different story. Many the ingredients mentioned on the pack, like – Isostearyl Neopentanoate, Dimethicone, Isopropyl Isostearate, etc., are highly comedogenic while many others like talc, Zinc stearate, magnesium stearate, etc. are mildly comedogenic. Hence, this pressed powder does not at all seem safe for acne prone skin. Right now, I am under high-powered acne treatment and may be that is why, Faces glam on Pressed Powder has not done heavy damage to my skin except a few small zits, here and there. I am discontinuing this product soon as I don’t have guts to take much risk.
Price in India: Rs.599 for 9g
VNA Rating: 4/5
Where to Buy Online in India: nykaa.com
Conclusion: Faces Glam On Prime Perfect Pressed Powder is a holy grail pressed powder for controlling oil and maintaining a natural look. Though I would never recommend it to acne prone skinned girls, girls with oily skin may try it out.

I've just recently hit pan on my pressed powder and was wondering which one to go for next...this one surely makes the list!!
Check it out, Ramya. It is worth a try.
I have acne prone skin, so I might give it a miss. Thanks for the heads up !
seems like an amazing product. It's pretty smart of you to identify the comedogenic ingredients & very helpful for us!
I always keep checking ingredients' list of beauty products. Even I have memorised some pore clogging ingredients! :-P
Very well reviewed. And yes, thanks a lot for informing us about the comedogenic ingredients! Do post about a compact which would work fine for acne-prone skin and is cruelty-free too. Thanks!
xo
Thanks, Akshita. Glad that I am able to help. :)
