Review, Swatches, Price, Buy Online FACES Glam on Powder Blush in shade Sandalwood 2
By Contributor: Surabhi
Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of Faces Cosmetics products around us. The Magnet Eyes Kajal has been getting good reviews, and so has their Glam On Mascara
Owning a neutral shaded blush, which gives a hint of colour to the cheeks, but still looks very natural- that had been my dream everyday blush for years. One that I thought nobody had given much of a thought since people like a hint of pink/coral on their cheeks. What is it about too much colour that someti mes doesn’t please me much, and instead pushes me towards exploring natural looking options? Well, FACES clearly came to my rescue with their Glam On makeup collection
FACES claims: High-quality pigments impregnated in a super-rich formula. Just what is needed to give you stunning results to show off.
Shades available: Crimson, Fresh Bloom, Sandalwood, Terracotta
My Review of Faces Blush:
Imagine a nude shade- add a little shimmer & just the tiniest pinch of soft peachy shade- Voila! That’s this magical shade named Sandalwood 2 for you, which is truly an amazing shade- especially because it will look good on LITERALLY everyone.
Texture: The texture of the powder blusher is slightly grainy, and the shimmer particles are kind of visible in the swatch. However, once I started blending the blush with a brush, the shimmer isn’t evident at all. The formulation blends in smoothly, without taking too much effort. Although, application with fingers doesn’t seem like a feasible option mostly because the blush doesn’t have a creamy formulation. Since no brush has been provided with the packaging, you must own a suitable blush brush to blend this out appropriately. Here, I have used the Colorbar Blush brush for application, but you may use any other, as per your preference.
Pigmentation: Faces Glam on in Sandalwood 2 is like a sandalwood shade, sprinkled with super pretty shimmer and a hint of soft peach. Pigmentation is actually quite great, and buildable. A few swipes with the blush brush deliver decent colour, considering that this is essentially a neutral shade. However, if you wish to build upon that colour, then this shade deposits beautifully without making you appear cakey.
Longevity: The forgetful person that I am, I didn’t remember to apply a primer when I was testing this out. And you know exactly what that means- the blush fades away faster than any other makeup and more often than not, I end up looking all pale- with no colour on my cheeks at all. Furthermore, since this a neutral shade, I didn’t have any high expectations in the longevity department. Boy, was I proved wrong with this Faces Blush. It stayed on for a good 3-4 hours, before completely fading away. As time goes by, the intensity does decrease a little after 3 hours, but the hint of colour stays on for quite some time, which is quite impressive, I’d say, without having a primer underneath.
Packaging: The Glam On Blush has been packed in an adorable round, shiny packaging, which is small enough to be carried around everywhere. You have to press & open the lid, so there’s no possibility for any accident spillage- hence, bonus points for creating such a travel-friendly design. Again, I always felt that the lid shone so much that it could practically serve as a mirror. There’s a tiny in-built mirror as well, although no brush has been provided. However, most small brushes, which come with Blushes, are not of much use, so I wasn’t particularly disappointed.
Good-points of Faces Glam On Powder Blush Sandalwood 2:
- This shade transitions smoothly from day to night looks. This is the perfect office-wearing Blush, and can be built up for making it appropriate for after-office events as well.
- Just one swipe is enough to deliver decent pigmentation.
- It has a very reasonable price tag.
Not-so-good-points of Faces Glam On Powder Blush Sandalwood 2:
- Not everyone would like an extremely natural looking shade. Mostly people prefer a little more colour in their Blush.
- The quantity of the product is quite less.
- The texture is slightly grainy.
- Doesn’t include an in-built brush, which is usually provided with Blushes.

The shimmer isnt apparent right surabhi? Ive been looking for a shade similar to this for ages and might pick this up. Very well reviewed.
No, the shimmer is very, very subtle. and I knowww, even I always wanted a neutral, earthy shade like this <3
I never liked the texture of Faces Blushes. :(
Really? I cannot comment about other FACES shades because this is the only one I’ve tried but it’s definitely worth a try. :)
The color looks amazing Surabhi. Everybody is raving about Faces products now a days. I only used to have their nail polishes which are really good. This blush seems worth a try. Nice review.. :)
